The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) has made herself the poster child of optimism, light and love. Now that Claire has turned her life around and found family acceptance, she’s all about staying positive and wants to help Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) patch things up with his parents.
Claire will continue her efforts to help Kyle, Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) repair the damage, but issues could be brewing in her own family soon enough.
That’s especially true when it comes to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who could show his true colors and leave Claire furious.
There are at least three ways Claire may turn against Victor in the coming months, so let’s look at some reasons she might flip out.
1) Victor Plots to Break Up Cole & Victoria
Y&R fans know Victor has repeatedly warned Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) to stay away from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), but Cole isn’t taking his threats seriously.
Victor may decide to do something about that and plot to break up Cole and Victoria, so Claire will be outraged if she learns he’s trying to tear her parents apart.
2) Victor’s Glissade or Claire Ultimatum for Kyle
Victoria’s love life may not be the only one that Victor manipulates in the coming weeks.
Once Victor realizes love is blooming between Kyle and Claire, he may work to shut that down, too.
If so, Victor might deliver an ultimatum and force Kyle to choose between Glissade or Claire.
If Kyle insists on pursuing a Claire romance against Victor’s wishes, Victor may warn it’ll cost him his spot at the company.
That’s the kind of controlling behavior that could enrage Claire if she gets updates.
3) Victor Goes Too Far Against Jack
Jack is someone who Claire has come to respect and appreciate since he’s Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) grandfather.
Victor is targeting Jack and Jabot, so Claire may fume if that feud goes too far.
It’s easy to imagine Victor crossing a line that infuriates Claire, especially if he uses and hurts Kyle in the process.
Claire may see exactly the kind of man her grandfather is and blow her top.
