The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) were at odds during all the kidnapping drama, but things are starting to settle down for their family. That’s especially true since Summer is now willing to give Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) a chance.
No matter what issues they face, both Summer and Kyle love Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) with all their hearts.
It’s clear that Harrison keeps Kyle and Summer connected, so that link could lead to a romantic reunion eventually.
We all know that soap relationships tend to come back around at some point – and that’s happened plenty of times with Summer and Kyle.
Could Kyle and Summer get back together once again will we Skyle in all it’s former glory?
Allison Lanier talked about that possibility in a new interview with Soaps In Depth, so let’s mull over what she had to say.
For starters, Lanier was quick to point out that in her opinion, Summer is content with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) for the moment.
Lanier also acknowledged that if a romantic reunion did happen between Kyle and Summer, it probably wouldn’t be anytime soon.
That said, the Y&R star certainly didn’t close the door on the idea of Summer and Kyle finding their way back to each other.
After reflecting on all the emotions that have been stirred up for Summer lately, Lanier pointed out that’s affected her character’s relationship with Kyle.
“I don’t know if it’s romantic or not, but definitely, I mean, you can see in what’s playing out right now, there’s a push-pull between them,” Lanier insisted.
Of course, Summer and Kyle are divorced, so they aren’t expecting a romantic future.
That’s why Summer has moved on with Chance – and Kyle seems poised to move on with Claire now that he’s bonding with her.
Summer has seen the light when it comes to letting Claire spend time with Harrison, but what happens if Kyle and Claire start dating?
Could that cause some jealousy for Summer and leave her feeling like Claire’s taking over her mommy spot, too?
It’ll be interesting to see where things go from here, but it’s doubtful that Kyle and Summer are really over for good!
