The Young and the Restless Friday, August 2 Recap: Cameron’s Puzzle for Sharon to Solve – Billy’s Launch Party

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, August 2, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will bump into Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at Society, so that’ll bring some bickering about Abbott-Chancellor and Victor’s plans to go after it.

Billy will deliver some warnings to Victor before telling Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) they have a party to plan.

Since Billy will want to send a message that they’re a force to be reckoned with, he’ll think an Abbott-Chancellor launch party is the perfect way to do that.

At the park, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will give Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) updates on Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) impromptu intervention and her plan to go away for a bit.

Tessa will think that sounds like a positive thing, but Mariah will end up crying over being a reminder of Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) and will worry about how to help Sharon.

At the cottage, Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) will acknowledge that he’s dead now, so he’ll have to settle for being in Sharon’s head instead of her heart.

Sharon will keep trying to send this Cameron hallucination away, but he’ll continue to torment her.

Since Sharon named the company Cameron left her after Cassie, he’ll act like she created a link between them in her brain.

Cameron will suggest he’s ready to party in the darkest corners of Sharon’s mind with Cassie and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Cameron will also taunt Sharon by acting like no man would ever want her now since she’s “damaged goods.”

When Cameron leans in for a kiss like imaginary Nick got, Sharon will stop him.

After Sharon arms herself with a heavy trinket off the desk, she’ll threaten imaginary Cameron with it.

Cameron will vanish as someone arrives at the door, so Sharon will still be armed with that heavy trinket and will look rattled as she opens it.

Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will wonder if Sharon is OK and will ultimately learn she’ll be taking some time away from Cassidy First Technology.

Daniel will hope that’s not because of their conversation about Cassie, but Sharon will suggest the pain has always been there.

It’s just that Sharon isn’t handling her grief very well right now.

When Daniel fishes to find out how Sharon feels about Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) being friends, Sharon will act like that’s their own thing and will trust Faith’s judgment.

At one point, Daniel will pitch the idea of a video game that would help children with their emotional intelligence.

Since Daniel made a game that allowed him to reconnect with Lucy, he’ll suggest maybe this could help Sharon heal, too.

Sharon will like the sound of this game, but she’ll seem skeptical about the healing part and will think they all have to deal with the loss in their own ways.

At Crimson Lights, Lucy will pester Faith as usual and ask if she wants to attend a concert together.

Lucy will claim that Daniel’s plans changed, so his wristband is up for grabs.

Although Faith will decline at first, she’ll eventually sense that Lucy is lonely and will seem intrigued by the band. Faith will decide she’ll go to the concert after all and will assume Daniel’s bummed about having to miss it when he walks in.

Daniel will back Lucy’s story up, but he’ll confront her about the lie once Faith is gone.

Since Daniel found out Lucy lied about the pool party too, he’ll worry about her feeling like an outsider by trying to hang out with older kids.

Daniel won’t think Lucy should expect too much of Faith considering their age difference.

There’ll also be concerns about Lucy attending this concert without Daniel’s supervision, but Lucy will argue that Faith is a responsible adult who doesn’t even drink.

Since Daniel will relent on letting Lucy go with Faith to this concert, Lucy will give him a grateful and excited hug.

Back at the cottage, Sharon will have another Cameron hallucination and assume this is happening because of her trauma since he almost took Faith away like Cassie.

Cameron will give Sharon a kiss on the cheek and suggest that’s not the real reason, but he’ll decline to divulge the truth since she might get rid of him.

Instead, Cameron will plan to hang around and see if Sharon figures it out herself.

Once Faith comes home, Cameron will disappear again. Sharon won’t mention the hallucination to Faith and will act like she’s just been caught up in planning her spa retreat to Sedona.

On Friday’s Y&R episode, Faith will seem pensive and will ultimately admit she thinks she just made a big mistake with Lucy.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Faith will wind up with regrets about accepting Lucy’s invitation, so stick with us for predictions on the disturbing news ahead.
