The Young and the Restless Friday, October 11 Recap: Daniel Forbids Chance’s Search – Claire’s Sinister Victor Lesson

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, October 11, reveals that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will stop by the Abbott mansion to pick up Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) swimsuit for his upcoming lesson, so that’ll give her a chance to bump into Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Once Jack admits he’s had another tough run-in with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he’ll find out Claire has concerns of her own.

Claire will explain how gleeful Kyle was about using a trap to give Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) the boot from Glissade.

Jack will confess that he believes Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is behind Glissade and using Kyle as the best way to hurt him.

After Jack updates Claire on the animosity that goes back to before she was born, he’ll play up just how vindictive Victor is.

Jack will worry about the sinister road that Victor is leading Kyle down as a result.

Claire will admit she hasn’t seen this side of her grandfather, but Jack will think that’s because she’s a Newman and under Victor’s protection now.

In the end, Claire will push Jack to tell her how she can help.

At Crimson Lights, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will warn Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about her partnership with Victor and suspect that he may actually plan to put Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) on the Chancellor throne.

Although Lily will act like she knows what she’s doing, she’ll be concerned enough to pay Victor a visit afterward.

Lily will quiz Victor about their arrangement and stomp out when he refuses to outright confirm she’ll get the CEO seat.

Next on Friday’s Y&R episode, Lily will find Nikki at the GCAC and push for the truth.

Nikki will come clean about being in on Victor’s deception and will offer confirmation that she intends to run Chancellor herself.

Although Nikki will be apologetic and push Lily to come be part of her team, Lily will announce that she’s done with both Nikki and Victor before storming out.

Back at the coffeehouse, Devon will speak with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about the Victor drama before talk turns to Nate’s recent trip to see Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford).

Nate will explain that Amy knew his father, Nathan Hastings Sr. (Nathan Purdee), and was romantically involved with him once upon a time.

It turns out Amy wanted Nate to come get some mementos, but Nate will suggest the vibe was weird – like the whole thing was a cover and Amy mostly wanted to get a sense of who he was.

Nate won’t have any idea why Amy would do that and will find the situation strange.

At Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) place, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will show up and give him the news about Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) visit on Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) last night alive.

Daniel will be upset over Sharon just now coming clean about this and will seriously doubt that Heather would’ve confided in her.

Furthermore, Daniel will insist that he’d worked through the tension with Heather and that their last interaction was a loving one.

Chance will suggest that maybe Heather’s claim about their fight was a cover for something else.

Once Chance hints that Heather might’ve been having an affair, Daniel will flip out and argue that’s ridiculous.

Even so, Chance will want to fully explore this angle before he puts it aside.

With that in mind, Chance will hope he can search Daniel’s apartment with his permission for any clues that might prove the theory.

Daniel will angrily refuse to let Chance disrespect Heather’s memory by rummaging through her things.

After Daniel says Chance knows the way out, he’ll leave the room in a huff.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Daniel will continue to inadvertently make things worse for himself, so we’ll pass along predictions on all the mayhem due to Sharon’s setup.
