The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, October 4, reveals that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will continue expressing her condolences to Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Grazaidei) and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), but she’ll make matters worse when she starts asking questions about what happened to Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom).
Lucy will get the feeling that Sharon suspects it wasn’t an accident, so she’ll push her to spill if she knows anything.
Once Daniel sends Lucy to the car, he’ll blast Sharon and insist she needs to give them some space right now.
Next on Friday’s Y&R episode, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will break the news to Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) about Heather’s demise.
Chance will get on the phone with a GCPD connection and learn a full autopsy is happening.
While Summer comforts Daniel at his penthouse, Chance will eventually get updates on the preliminary report from the autopsy.
That’ll lead to Chance talking about Heather being in the water for hours – most likely since last night.
Chance will also reveal that Heather died from blunt force trauma to the back of the head – not from drowning.
Summer will ask if Chance is saying Heather was attacked, but she’ll try to downplay things and suggest Heather might’ve hit her head before falling in the river.
Daniel will seem concerned about the possibility that someone intentionally went after Heather and will look distraught as he stares at an article of her clothing later.
In the park, Chance will tell Summer that he’s already talked to the police chief about returning to the GCPD, but he’ll be looking for answers whether he’s reinstated or not.
At the athletic club, Sharon will cross paths with Phyllis, who won’t be in the mood to hear her condolences.
Once Phyllis realizes Sharon has spoken to Daniel, she’ll lash out at her and insist she’ll never forget the way Sharon harassed her family.
Phyllis won’t plan to let anyone else forget it either, so she’ll let Sharon know that before she saunters off.
Afterward, Sharon will talk to “Cameron Kirsten” (Linden Ashby) on the Crimson Lights patio, where he’ll suggest she’s raising suspicions with her behavior.
“Cameron” will think Sharon needs a surefire way to avoid getting caught and will remind her that Daniel still needs to pay.
That’ll lead to Sharon opening up her trunk and looking at the bloody towel she used on the crime scene, so a frame-up plot is clearly in the works.
When Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) runs into Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at Society, she’ll push him away and act like there’s nothing left to say between them.
Adam will eventually head to the coffeehouse, where he’ll interrupt Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) awkward conversation.
Once Billy asks if Adam’s going to hit him again, Chelsea will fume over Adam’s actions and give him a lecture.
After Billy takes off, Adam will wonder if Chelsea seriously thinks Billy’s going to take her back.
Adam will also push Chelsea to see that her relationship with Billy was built on her gratitude rather than love.
Chelsea will be offended over Adam analyzing her romance and spin things back around on him by suggesting his own feelings for her aren’t real.
Adam will defend himself as a changed person lately, but Chelsea will act like their past relationship fell apart for too many reasons to ignore.
Back with Billy, he’ll commiserate with Sally before inviting her to the upcoming launch party.
Sally will accept just before Phyllis interrupts and scores some private time with Billy.
After Phyllis breaks down in tears and spills Heather’s grim fate, she’ll admit she was hoping she could lean on Billy as a friend.
Billy will hold Phyllis in his arms as she cries, so they’ll share a tender moment.
