The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap Friday, September 6, reveals that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will make up an excuse about forgetting her purse at the hospital.
That’ll give Sharon a chance to sneak away from the cottage while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) stays behind with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Once Faith spends some time with her grandparents, she’ll rest upstairs while Nick talks to Victor and Nikki about Sharon’s rough patch.
Although Nikki and Victor will be concerned about Sharon’s mental state, Nick will point out her medication adjustment and downplay their worries.
After Victor and Nikki leave, Faith will come down and make a confession to Nick.
When Nick learns Sharon has been having “Cameron Kirsten” (Linden Ashby) nightmares and that Faith caught her talking to him, he’ll be on edge.
At home, Lucy will complain about not being able to get her driver’s license when she planned.
Although Lucy will be willing to make the charity donation and do the community service, she’ll think delaying her driver’s education class is unfair.
Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will also bring up the apology letter Lucy will be forced to write, so she’ll stomp into the other room.
When Sharon arrives and gets updates on Lucy’s punishment, she’ll rant about it being too lenient and lash out over how bad things could’ve been.
Daniel will know this is partly about Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) fatal accident, but Heather will refuse to let Sharon keep blaming Daniel for a teenage mistake that he regrets.
After Sharon calls out Lucy’s stalking and warns that she wants her kept away from Faith, Heather will find that extreme.
Sharon will double down on the total ban and complain to “Cameron” about “that bitch” once she’s in the hallway.
Once “Cameron” confirms that Sharon is still angry, he’ll think that’s good. Sharon will return to the cottage, where Faith will suggest going with her parents to get empanadas at Society.
Next on Friday’s Y&R episode, Heather will gripe to Daniel about Sharon seeming unhinged. Daniel will think it’s best for all of them to steer clear of Sharon, so Heather will revisit the idea of their Portugal trip.
When Lucy overhears, she’ll blow her top over Heather and Daniel trying to force her out of town.
At Society, Sharon will seem scatter-brained since she won’t remember that Faith wanted empanadas. Nick, Sharon and Faith will all be sitting at a table together when Daniel, Heather and Lucy walk in.
Although Lucy will want to speak with Faith alone, Sharon will snap that it’s absolutely not happening and shut down Faith’s attempt to argue with her.
Once Sharon angrily tells Faith that they’re leaving, she’ll drag her out while an uneasy Nick is forced to follow.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will try to pick another fight with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who’ll excuse himself to make some phone calls.
Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will push Kyle to open up, so he’ll admit he missed his dad and just wishes Jack would apologize.
Jack will eavesdrop and give Kyle that apology, but Kyle will refuse to accept any blame in their feud and will view his dad’s “sorry” as something forced.
It’ll leave Jack wondering if Kyle’s speech to Claire was about putting on a show for her.
After Kyle rages at Jack, he’ll get annoyed over Diane Jenkins-Abbott’s (Susan Walters) return home.
However, Claire will hope there’s a way for Kyle’s family to heal and will plan to help him as they talk in the park later.
Once Diane gets news on Jack’s argument with Kyle, she’ll feel like she caused all this.
Diane will fret over ruining Jack’s relationship with his son and will wonder if she did more damage by leaving Kyle or coming back.
