The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was hoping to score the sole CEO spot at Glissade and push Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) out of the picture, but things didn’t work out how he wanted.
The theme of the show lately is that it’s Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) way or the highway since he’s refusing to budge on all his corporate plans.
It’s clear that Victor has a very specific vision in mind, so he’s determined to stick with it.
As a result, Victor turned down Kyle’s offer to fly solo.
Instead, Victor warned that Kyle’s co-CEO partnership with Audra was the only path to running Glissade, so Kyle caved on the June 27 episode.
Of course, this came on the heels of Kyle getting fired at Jabot, but he didn’t tell Victor the part about being forced out!
Nevertheless, Kyle’s vengeful side will be important moving forward – and Michael Mealor definitely offered some hints about that in a recent interview with SOD.
“I think he’s going to play dirty,” Mealor teased. “He wants to prove that he can make it on his own, so he’s moving on.”
Kyle assured Victor that he was prepared to go up against Jabot as a competitor, but it sounds like he could take that idea to extremes.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) may not know what hit them if Kyle strikes back hard enough!
Michael Mealor discussed how Kyle wants to make a name for himself and have more control, but you can bet his partnership with Audra’s going to make things complicated.
“I think it’s going to be difficult and will be quite a wild ride that’s ahead of them because neither of them trust each or like each other that much,” Mealor said about Audra and Kyle. “This could be a powder keg ready to go off…”
Naturally, many Y&R fans will be waiting to see whether that “wild ride” includes some time back in bed!
It wouldn’t be surprising if Kyle and Audra ultimately decided to mix business with pleasure again.
That said, Victor is expecting Audra and Kyle’s best work, so our predictions suggest they’ll have to stay focused enough to give him that – no matter how complex their relationship becomes.
