The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, August 12, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braden) will want to use Newman Media for a smear campaign against Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and his Abbott-Chancellor power trip.
Although Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be hesitant since going after Billy will affect Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) too, Victor won’t take no for an answer.
Once Victor repeatedly warns to get it done, Adam will start with a phone call hoping to score intel on the upcoming Abbott-Chancellor announcement.
Victor will believe that announcement will be about Billy taking on a larger company role.
However, Billy will reunite with Chelsea in the park following her trip and tell a different story.
Chelsea will get updates on Billy becoming a silent partner since Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) views him as a liability.
Billy will discuss Lily taking the lead and will end up talking about Adam’s territorial behavior as well.
Chelsea will act like that’s uncalled for and will rant about Adam not being able to decide who she sees.
As for Billy’s previous pressure, he’ll apologize to Chelsea for trying to pry a confession out of her. Billy will plan to back off and let Chelsea decide what she’s willing to share with him.
Back at Newman Media, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will find Adam frustrated and quiz him about whatever dirty order Victor has made.
Adam won’t be willing to tell Sally, so she’ll question if he still trusts her.
Adam will try to convince Sally that he does, but they’ll be interrupted by Chelsea’s arrival.
Chelsea will make up an excuse about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), so Sally will leave her alone with Adam.
Once Chelsea blasts Adam for trying to keep Billy away from her, he’ll suggest he wanted to prevent another grilling session.
Chelsea will mention that Billy said he’d back off, but Adam will point out that Chelsea is putting pressure on herself, too.
With that in mind, Adam will want to know if Chelsea intends to tell Billy the truth about their Baltimore hookup.
While Billy approves the imminent Abbott-Chancellor announcement over the phone, Victor will be cold toward Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) at the GCAC.
However, Victor will hint that Michael can perhaps make up for his mistake in the whole Jordan (Colleen Zenk) debacle. Michael will find out that Victor wants him to obtain some dirt on Billy.
At Crimson Lights, Y&R spoilers say negotiations between Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will fall apart.
Summer will want Kyle to eliminate Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) from his life altogether, but he’ll find that ridiculous.
Since Kyle won’t want to blow up his Glissade gig, Summer will act like he’s not serious about working out a custody solution.
Kyle will offer to keep their joint custody agreement and work on putting Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) first, but Summer will stand her ground on protecting their son from Audra’s influence.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will feel like he’s exhausted all options, so he’ll make it clear that they’re headed to court.
