The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, August 19, reveals that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will interrupt Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) conversation with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), who’ll use this opportunity to get a few things straight with Summer.
Audra will point out that she doesn’t know Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) and shouldn’t be blamed for the custody drama that going on. Audra will insist she’s not Summer’s problem unless Summer wants her to be.
Afterward, Summer will try to have a more civil conversation with Kyle and will apologize for letting things go off the rails last time.
That said, Summer will won’t trust Audra – and she’ll suspect Kyle doesn’t either.
That’s why Summer won’t understand why Kyle is so adamant about working with Audra at Glissade.
Kyle will act like the position is tailor-made for him, but Summer will suspect there’s more to the story.
Back with Audra, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will warn that her partnership with Kyle isn’t going to work out.
Nate will also talk about his belief that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is Glissade’s secret investor, so Audra will swear him to secrecy and confirm it’s true.
However, Audra won’t have a good feeling about where things are headed and will seem frustrated over becoming a pawn in the Newman-Abbott feud.
At Crimson Lights, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will keep making excuses to avoid having a deeper discussion with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Since Chelsea is dealing with a lot regarding Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), she’ll tell Billy that maybe she needs a break and will push for time as well as space.
Billy will feel like this secret is eating Chelsea up and will suggest that ignoring it won’t make it go away.
At home, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will push Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to stop gaslighting her and tell her the truth about “that one night.”
Adam will insist that Chelsea’s just feeling guilty because she said some harsh things in response to him.
It was an awful time, but Adam will think they all need to move on and will blame Billy for causing problems with his suspicions.
When Adam asks about Sally’s trust, she’ll admit she thought she trusted him and wants to believe him.
Nevertheless, Sally will talk about knowing deception based on personal experience and seeing the warning signs that Adam’s still hiding something.
Although Adam will try to convince Sally that their relationship is going to get better, she’ll seem exasperated and wonder when that’s going to happen.
Once Sally stomps off, she’ll cross paths with Billy in the park.
After Billy and Sally compare notes about all the stonewalling they faced, they’ll still know they’re not getting the whole story.
Chelsea will drop Connor off at Adam’s place, where she’ll insist she can’t this pushing Billy away anymore.
Despite Adam acting like Billy needs to back off, Chelsea will think there’s only one thing to do now and will suggest they have to tell the truth.
In Victor’s office, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will confess that he came up empty on new Billy dirt since he’s been squeaky clean lately.
However, Michael was able to uncover Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) treatment in London for cardiac issues and will suspect that’s why she handed over the reins to Billy so abruptly.
Michael will hope Victor’s not going to use Jill’s medical condition against her own son and will be curious if his info was enough to make amends between them.
Victor will push Michael to find out the severity of Jill’s condition and suggest they can reevaluate once he does.
Our Y&R predictions hint that Billy has more trouble headed his way thanks to Victor’s plan, so bad news is brewing!
The Young and the Restless Michael will continue carry out Victor’s orders, so we’ll bring you updates on his efforts to regain Victor’s favor.
