The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, August 19, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will keep trying to convince Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) that paranoid Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is making a big deal out of nothing.
Sally will quiz Adam about what Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) meant in the park, but he’ll insist Chelsea just feels guilty about the terrible things said on both sides that night.
At one point, Sally will accuse Adam of gaslighting her and will admit she knows what deception looks like since she basically wrote the book on it.
Although Adam will act like Sally should trust him, it’ll be obvious that she can’t.
At the coffeehouse, Chelsea will handle Billy by repeatedly insisting she’s too busy with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to have this conversation.
In fact, Chelsea will tell Billy that she needs a break from their romance.
Billy will have to let Chelsea walk away from this conversation, but he’ll see how much the secret’s weighing on her and will point out that she can’t run from it forever.
In Chancellor Park, Sally and Billy will give each other updates on how things went with Adam and Chelsea.
Despite not having any confirmation on that night, the suspicion will still be written all over Billy and Sally’s faces.
Once Chelsea meets with Adam, she’ll insist she can’t take this anymore and will refuse to keep pushing Billy away when she really wants to cling to him.
Chelsea will insist they have no choice but to tell the truth, but Adam will seem uneasy.
At the GCAC, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will derail Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) conversation with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), so Audra will deny doing anything to cause the custody feud and argue she’s not the problem – unless Summer wants to make her one!
Summer will speak with Kyle privately for a discussion that’ll be calmer than usual.
However, Summer will have a hunch that Kyle has his own concerns in the Audra trust department and won’t get why he’s so determined to work with her.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Audra will express her fear that she’s gotten tangled up in a family war that she wants no part of.
Since Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will suspect Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is the mystery investor anyway, Audra will confirm that news – though she’ll make Nate promise to keep a lid on the secret.
Speaking of secrets, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will blab one to Victor in his office.
Although Michael wasn’t able to come up with any dirt on Billy, he’ll confess to finding out about Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) cardiac problems and treatment.
Victor will urge Michael to find out how severe Jill’s medical issue is and get back to him. If Michael will do that, then Victor will think about being on good terms with him again.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Michael will fret over Victor’s plot and the possibility of him targeting Billy using Jill’s illness, but he’ll plan to keep digging.
Based on our predictions, Victor and Billy’s hostility will come with some curveballs, so stay tuned.
