The Young and the Restless Monday, August 26 Update: Drunk Lucy’s SOS, Faith’s Hospital Crisis and Summer’s Custody Choice

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, August 26, reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will spot a distracted Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) at the coffeehouse, so he’ll assume she’s worried about Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

After Phyllis rants about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) spiraling out of control, she’ll take some responsibility for faking her demise and driving wedge in Summer’s marriage.

Phyllis will want to make things up to Summer, but Nick will suspect she’s going to cause problems with her interference.

Nick will make Phyllis give her word that she’s not going to meddle, so she’ll cave in and promise him.

At the athletic club, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will hope to share a drink and an honest conversation with Kyle.

Although Kyle will indeed get honest, it won’t be what Jack wants to hear.

Kyle will admit he feels like a pawn in Jack’s game of trying to make Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) happy, so he’ll think it’s best to just ignore each other instead of trying to fix things.

Once Summer gets all dressed up for a night at the jazz lounge, she’ll have a sweet date with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).

Afterward, Kyle will bump into Summer and Chance, so he’ll wonder if his ex has given any more thought to the custody situation.

Summer will admit that she has and will deliver some good news regarding Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).

It turns out Summer will be ready to work out a new joint custody agreement with their attorneys – something that’s reasonable and will hopefully make them both happy.

Kyle will be glad to hear that, so that’ll take one problem off his plate if Summer sticks with this decision.

At the cottage, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will claim she was shouting in her sleep and will tell Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) that Cameron Kirsten (Lindey Ashby) has been popping up in her dreams.

Faith will be concerned, but Sharon will act like it might be a medication side effect and will lie about sorting it out with her doctor.

Once Faith checks the texts on her phone, she’ll see that she’s received an SOS from Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), who’ll be in trouble and won’t want her parents to know. Lucy will ask Faith to come get her and will swear it’s the last favor she’ll ever ask for.

Faith will give Sharon updates on the conversation she had with Faith about trying to find some friends her own age.

Sharon will acknowledge that Lucy is still a vulnerable kid, so Faith will realize she has to go help her.

In the park, Faith will find drunk Lucy with a bottle of vodka that she stole from a local bar.

After Faith lashes out and throws out the bottle, Lucy will plead for a ride home and hope she can get back to her room before her parents notice she was gone.

Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Sharon will get a disturbing call about Faith’s car accident, so she’ll call Nick and fill him in, too.

Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) dinner at Society will also get interrupted with an alarming call about Lucy.

Once Nick and Sharon show up at the hospital, they’ll spot Heather and Daniel there.

It won’t take long for the four of them to realize Lucy and Faith were in the same car, which skidded off the road and crashed into a wall.

An EMT will explain what happened and mention that both girls were unconscious when he brought them in, but he’ll suggest the attending physician will have more info.

Once Sharon flings the curtain back, she’ll see a still unconscious Faith in a hospital bed with some scrapes on her head.

Sharon will weep at the sight of Faith while Nick looks troubled across from her.

Daniel and Heather will find an unconscious Lucy in her own hospital bed, but her face won’t be quite as visibly scratched as Faith’s.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon, Nick, Heather and Daniel will all hope for a positive doctor’s report, so stick with us for more predictions on where the story will go from here.
