The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, December 30, reveals that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) will fume as she eavesdrops on Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), who’ll be telling Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) what an amazing year she’s had.
Ian Ward (Ray Wise) will eventually text Jordan to tell her that it’s time for action and plan to meet up with her in half an hour at Society.
At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will discuss their concerns about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) being tangled up in all Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) drama.
Once Claire arrives, she’ll enjoy a toast with Nikki and Victor as they prepare to ring in the new year together.
At the cottage, Sharon will decide to join Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) at Society for New Year’s Eve, but she’ll opt to take her own car thinking she might turn in early.
Nick will stop by to let Sharon know that the investigation has officially been reopened and will compliment her appearance for the party.
Since Nick will still seem worried over Sharon’s safety, he’ll decide to tag along.
While Mariah heads off to meet up with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Nick will plan to drive to Society with Faith once they stop by to see Victor and Nikki at the ranch.
That’ll give Nick and Faith a chance to explain the hypnosis revelations that are helping Sharon’s case.
Meanwhile, Sharon will exit her own car outside Society and get ambushed by Jordan, who’ll chloroform her from behind until she passes out.
At Society, Ian Ward (Ray Wise) will once again pose as Warren Masters and ask Tessa if a last-minute reservation for two would be possible.
There won’t be any availability, but Tessa will offer to put “Warren’s” name down in case anyone cancels.
After Tessa steps away for a moment, Ian will slip something in Tessa’s water to drug her. Tessa will guzzle down that water and eventually start feeling lightheaded, so she’ll tell Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) that she’s going to grab a snack from the kitchen.
When Tessa returns, she’ll be looking even worse and will struggle to clear her head.
Abby and Devon Winters (Bryton James) will be concerned, but Tessa will decide to get some fresh air and see if that’ll help.
By the time Tessa heads outside, she’ll be stumbling and struggling to breathe. Ian will insist he’s got Tessa and will help her sit down by the window as he pulls out an inhaler for her.
Mariah will ultimately show up and see that Tessa’s ill, so she’ll get frantic and wonder what’s wrong. When Mariah sees that Tessa is in Ian’s arms, she’ll look horrified over this unpleasant reunion!
In the jazz lounge, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will spend the evening with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) since Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will be snowbound in Canada.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will show up with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), so she’ll quickly send an evil glare toward Christine, Michael and Lauren.
However, Summer and Daniel will convince Phyllis to enjoy New Year’s Eve with them, so she’ll try to put her enemies out of her mind.
That plan won’t work out very well since Phyllis will still end up clashing with Christine, Lauren and Michael briefly.
Christine will also get updates on all the hypnosis news before Danny makes a surprise return.
Since Danny was able to catch a last-minute flight after all, he’ll be home in time for a midnight kiss with Christine.
Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) will face travel problems of his own due to snow, so Tracy Abbott (Beth Maitland) will agree to join Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) night at the jazz lounge.
There’ll be some mingling and fun countdowns on Monday’s Y&R episode while Sharon, Mariah and Tessa are stuck in dangerous situations.
