The Young and the Restless Monday, June 24 Recap: Katie Tries to Kick Claire Out, Kyle’s Proposal Behind Audra’s Back

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, June 24, reveals that Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will enjoy a night out in Paris, so they’ll end up back at the bar where Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) met Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).

Alan will have a lot of unanswered questions and guilt when it comes to his twin brother, but Traci will think he needs to forgive himself.

Once Alan pushes Traci to talk about herself instead, he’ll seem impressed over all her novels and the news that she used to sing with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).

Alan will flirt with Traci and keep trying to get her to sing, but she’ll joke about giving him a raincheck on that.

Traci will also reflect on her own guilt since Ashley might’ve experienced some childhood trauma that she wasn’t aware of.

However, Alan will point out that they don’t know anything for sure and will give Traci some support.

Once Alan takes Traci back to Ashley’s apartment, he’ll let her know how much it means to him that she’s sticking around Paris.

Traci will seem quite smitten after she sees Alan out on Monday’s Y&R episode.

Back in Genoa City, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will bicker with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about who should be running Newman Media, but he’ll stand his ground on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) needing to step in temporarily.

At Society later, Nick will convince Nikki to just cave in since Victor’s not going to let this go.

Nikki will decide to focus on her charities for a while since Nick will promise that they’ll get Adam out of her CEO chair when the time comes.

At the tack house, Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) will get updates on Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) being part of family movie night, so she’ll try to make an excuse to get out of it.

When Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) insists on them all bonding as a family, Katie will ask why Claire has to live there and will suggest she could live with the Abbotts instead since she’s their nanny.

Victoria will refuse to kick Claire out of her own home and will struggle to get through to Katie.

Fortunately, Victor’s visit will prove helpful since he’ll talk to Katie and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) about how lonely it was growing up in an orphanage.

Victor will think Claire grew up lonely too and always wanted a sister like Katie to love.

When Victor points out that they have to make Claire feel welcome, Katie will soften and seem like she’s starting to come around.

After Katie and Johnny head to the pool, Victoria will thank Victor for his help before talk turns to business.

Once they go back and forth a bit, Victoria will agree to give Victor’s idea about her Newman Enterprises comeback some serious thought.

At the GCAC, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will track Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) down at the bar and urge him to accept Victor’s job offer, but Kyle will act like he could never trust her enough to work together again.

Audra will apologize for manipulating Kyle, but she’ll point out that he manipulated her, too.

Now Audra will think they have a chance to start fresh, so she’ll urge Kyle not to let his grudge get in the way of a good opportunity.

When Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) finds Kyle with Audra, she’ll grow suspicious and grill her son after Audra leaves.

Kyle will downplay the encounter, but he’ll also think Diane needs to butt out of his life and stop trying to put him in his place.

Diane won’t think Kyle is even trying to hide his disdain for her anymore, so she’ll finally get fed up enough to deliver an ultimatum.

After Diane warns Kyle to get in line or be fired, he’ll question if she really believes Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will go along with that.

Diane will seem confident since Kyle’s been kicked out of Jabot before, so she’ll let him know that she means business.

Once Diane storms out, Victor will approach Kyle and hope that he’s still considering his Glissade offer.

Kyle will admit that maybe it’s time for a change, but he’ll acknowledge that he’s hesitant due to his past experience with untrustworthy Audra.

Instead, Kyle will propose the idea of coming on board as Glissade’s sole CEO and will wonder what Victor really needs Audra for.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will do his best to push Audra out and gain more power, so stick with us for more predictions on whether he’ll be successful.
