The Young and the Restless Monday, September 9 Recap: Kyle Rats Audra Out to Victor – Chance Quits for GCPD Return

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, September 9, reveals that Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) won’t be interested in being civil to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), so that’ll frustrate Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) since they’re seeing each other.

After Devon takes some jabs in the jazz lounge about Audra being untrustworthy, Audra will join Nate in the GCAC dining area and downplay all the drama.

Once Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) successfully iron out the details of their custody agreement, they’ll celebrate with some bubbly at the athletic club.

After Kyle sees Audra across the room, he’ll assure Summer that he’s still working on his plan to force her out.

Kyle will end up ordering a bottle of wine to send Audra and Nate, which will lead to him joining them for a glass.

Nate will play up how nice it is that Audra and Kyle are trying to be team players.

Once Nate pipes up about how it can’t be easy working for their current boss, Audra will cut him off to make sure he doesn’t reveal the name of their mystery benefactor.

After Kyle leaves, Audra will worry that he’s looking for anything he can use against her.

Nate will insist he wasn’t going to reveal his knowledge of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) running the show and contend that Kyle has no proof Audra told him anything.

Nevertheless, Kyle will get Victor on the phone and insist they need to talk about Audra.

Victor will wonder if there’s a problem, so Kyle will confirm he just found out Audra can’t be trusted.

Victor will also have a meeting with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), who’ll think the key to Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) downfall is a deal with a new company.

Although Billy thinks it’s amazing, Lily will explain the issues with this deal and how it could sink Chancellor.

Since Billy has made this deal the centerpiece of the launch, Lily will suggest that Victor could leave Billy scrambling if he acquires the company instead.

Victor will push for the name of the company, but it’ll become obvious that Lily intentionally left that part out.

Lily will wonder if it’s still the plan for her to run Chancellor following the takeover, so Victor will act like he’s given her no reason to think otherwise.

There’ll be some talk about how Lily wants something confirmed in writing.

Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will become part of the conversation as Victor’s lawyer – and after Lily leaves, he’ll fear Victor is playing with fire by letting Lily believe she’ll get the top spot Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is getting instead.

At Society, Nikki will give Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) clues about something big that’s in the works.

Lauren will be happy for Nikki, but she’ll fret over Michael’s current meeting and the possibility that he’s being dragged into something illegal.

Nikki won’t be able to get that out of her head, so she’ll take her concerns to Michael and Victor before getting reassurance.

In Billy’s office, he’ll celebrate locking in a deal with a company called Odyssey Seven, so Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will give him a patronizing pat on the back.

However, Chance will ultimately point out some issues with the company since it’s an odd fit for Chancellor.

Billy will toot his own horn about making the deal that no one else could make and won’t think Chance’s criticism is correct.

As for Chance’s co-CEO plan, Billy won’t think he’s ready to run the company alongside him.

Billy will want Chance to stay on as his COO, but Chance will quit on the spot and give Summer updates soon after.

When Summer asks about Chance’s next job, he’ll hint that she’s not going to like it.

Summer will quickly realize Chance is thinking about going back to the GCPD, so she’ll understand despite her fears about the danger he could be stepping back into.

Back in the jazz lounge, Devon will bump into Billy and clash with him over his choice to oust Lily.

It’ll lead to Devon making predictions about Billy tanking the company without Lily’s guidance.

Afterward on Monday’s Y&R episode, Lily will show up and privately assure Devon that he doesn’t need to fight her battles – especially since she’s all over this one.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily could be in for a rude awakening thanks to Victor’s deception, so don’t miss all the stunning news ahead.
