The Young and the Restless Monday, September 9 Update: Summer’s Scary News, Billy’s Risky Deal and Victor’s Deception

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, September 9, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will have a lot to celebrate after their new custody agreement becomes official.

Summer and Kyle will enjoy some Champagne at the GCAC, where they’ll agree to resolve any Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) differences themselves next time and leave lawyers out of it.

In the jazz lounge, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will approach Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), but Devon will be rather rude despite Audra’s attempt to play nice.

Nate will address the fact that he’s seeing Audra now, but he’ll add that they haven’t put a label on anything. Devon won’t seem pleased about that and will urge Nate not to trust Audra considering her track record.

A little later, Kyle will spot Audra and Nate together as he sits at the GCAC bar. Once Kyle tells Summer that he’s still trying to force Audra out at Glissade, he’ll take another step toward achieving that goal.

Kyle will have a bottle of wine sent over to Nate and Audra before ordering a glass for himself. That’ll lead to Audra and Kyle pretending that they’re on the same page about working as a team.

Nate will seem like he’s going to mention Kyle and Audra working for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), so Audra will jump in before he can spill what he knows.

Audra will talk about their mysterious benefactor and work to conceal the fact that she broke Victor’s confidence.

However, Nate will basically tell Audra that there’s no need to panic once they’re alone.

It turns out Nate wasn’t going to mention Victor after all – and no matter Kyle suspects, there’s no evidence that Audra blabbed the boss’ identity.

While Audra remains on edge, Kyle will prove she has good reasons to worry.

Nearby on Monday’s Y&R episode, Kyle will call Victor to say they need to discuss Audra and will hint about discovering she’s not trustworthy.

As for Victor, he can’t be trusted either and will prove that in his next meeting with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Victor will let Lily believe she’s still going to be Chancellor’s CEO, but she’ll seem suspicious and want it in writing.

Lily will also divulge what she believes will sink Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) since he’s working on a huge deal that could blow up in his face.

There’ll be issues with this deal that Billy isn’t anticipating.

Lily will point out that Victor could swoop in and snatch up the company that Billy wants, which would leave Billy in a bind since it’s the main part of his launch.

Since Lily will seem uneasy about getting the top Chancellor spot she wants, she’ll withhold the name of that company for now.

After Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) joins part of this meeting, he’ll privately warn Victor about deceiving Lily since Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) wants to run Chancellor herself.

Michael will clearly suspect that this deception is going to spell trouble. Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will worry about trouble as well once Nikki updates her on a project that’s in the works.

Since Michael was summoned his morning, Lauren will fear he could get dragged into something criminal. Since Nikki will start to obsess over the idea, she’ll bring it up to Michael and Victor afterward.

Once Michael insists Victor hasn’t asked him to do anything illegal, Victor will assure Nikki that there’s nothing to worry about. From Victor’s perspective, everything will be going according to plan.

At Abbott-Chancellor, Billy will be thrilled over striking the deal he’s been working on.

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will initially act impressed over Billy scoring Odyssey Seven, but then he’ll start raising concerns about whether it was a good idea.

Billy will stand his ground and won’t be willing to approve Chance’s co-CEO plan either.

Despite Billy’s attempt to get Chance to stick around as his COO, Chance will leave the company entirely.

Later, Chance will spill the news of his departure to Summer and let her know he’s considering a GCPC comeback.

Summer will get why, but she’ll still seem a little nervous about the risks.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance could be throwing himself back into scary situations soon, so we’ll bring you predictions on all the drama.
