The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the next two weeks, July 22 to August 2, reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will tell a lie to throw Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) off the trail. The week of July 22-26 will back Adam into a corner and cause him to deliver news that’s less than honest.
Since Billy and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will grow suspicious about what really went down in Baltimore, Adam will fib about blowing up at Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and blaming her for Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) issues.
The truth is that Chelsea and Adam hit the sheets, but he’ll hope he can silence all this Baltimore talk with a bogus story that paints him alone as the bad guy.
However, Adam will waver a bit once Sally questions him and perhaps doubts that he was really as hateful as he claims.
Sally will try to get the truth out of Adam, so he’ll nearly confess before chickening out.
Over with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), their friendship will face a bump in the road.
Nikki will make some disparaging comments about Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) that Jack just won’t be able to tolerate.
Later, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will unveil a new plan to put Nikki in charge of a company that he’s acquiring and leave Adam in control of Newman Media.
As for the company that Victor’s trying to get his hands on, it may be Abbott-Chancellor.
Since Victor will promise to safeguard Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) legacy, that makes it sound like he’ll want to yank Abbott-Chancellor away from “Billy Boy.”
Next, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will put Adam through a grilling session as she tries to learn more about Victor’s intentions.
The messier things get at Newman Enterprises, the more Victoria will worry she made a mistake by coming back to the family business.
In the park, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will surprise Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) by asking her to marry him. Abby will seem excited over the sudden proposal, so she might get on board.
Of course, Devon will want to get Victor’s blessing, so that may be why he’ll seek Victor out in the aftermath of his conversation with Abby.
Other Y&R spoilers say Sharon’s mental state will continue to decline, so Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will fear something bad could happen if Sharon’s doctor can’t help her get a grip.
Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will also struggle to deal with Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) pool party rejection, so she could be poised to make some terrible decisions.
Meanwhile, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) will take a significant leap together, so they may make love for the first time and could perhaps discuss their relationship status.
As for Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), she’ll get into another argument with Kyle. Although Summer will try to boss Kyle around, he’ll stand his ground on this trip to Paris with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
In the park, Harrison will hug Summer goodbye, but she’ll make it clear to Kyle and Claire that she’s not happy about this.
Kyle will force Claire into a difficult situation, but things may improve once their flight lands later.
The week of July 29-August 2 should bring some Paris scenes, so Kyle may carve out some time with Claire while Harrison is asleep.
Claire has never had a romance before and doesn’t want to cross the line with Kyle as her employer, but a line could get crossed anyway.
Will Kyle and Claire share their first kiss? Paris seems like a very romantic place to do that, so stick with us for more predictions on a potential lip lock and how Claire might react.
Of course, there’s also a chance something could go wrong during this trip – like if Harrison gets lost or injured.
That could cause Summer’s fury to erupt and leave her blaming Claire along with Kyle for hiring her.
Y&R fans will likely see more Lucy developments as well, so could some drinking and driving be in her future?
Could Lucy’s storyline collide with Sharon’s mental health crisis and spell trouble?
