The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of May 27-31 reveals that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will have a hush-hush discussion with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so she’ll expect him to keep some important news quiet.
After Billy talks to Jill on a video call, he’ll ask her what they should do now.
Jill will push Billy to just keep this to himself and will add that she doesn’t want anyone else to know.
It’s possible this involves Jill’s real reason for stepping back from Chancellor-Winters so abruptly.
Could Jill have some sort of illness that she’s only willing to tell her son about – at least for now?
That’s an option to consider, especially since it could make Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) feel guilty about plotting against Jill and Billy.
On the other hand, perhaps this will be something related to business instead.
Billy and Jill might hide something that gives Devon and Lily another reason to lash out soon enough.
It’s even possible Jill and Billy will be discussing Lily’s future at Chancellor-Winters.
Lily wants to trick Billy into undoing the merger, but Jill could thwart her plan if she decides to fire her and hire someone to replace her.
That’s something that Jill might want to keep under wraps until she’s officially ready to push Lily out of the CEO chair, but we’ll have to see how it all plays out.
Y&R’s weekly preview video also shows Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) explaining a bit more about dissociative identity disorder to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
Alan will talk about how Ashley’s alternate personalities think they’re protecting her, but the fact that they exist at all means that there’s something terribly wrong.
Ashley will continue to wonder what exactly these personalities are protecting her from, but Alan won’t have answers for her just yet.
It’ll take some work to get to the heart of Ashley’s issues, but Alan believes an incident in Paris set all this in motion.
