The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, April 5, reveals that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will push Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for the truth about his plans at Chancellor-Winters, so he’ll admit he sees them working side by side and “running the whole damn place.”
Billy will insist Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) can still have seats at the table, but he’ll want to be calling the shots 50-50 with Lily.
After Billy suggests Devon can lean into his music roots and focus on the artistic divisions, he’ll suggest Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) put him in this position to groom him to be her replacement.
Lily will act like Billy’s delusional for thinking any of this is going to happen and will take off once Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) interrupts following her trip.
At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will run into Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), so they’ll talk about Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) treatment, Nick’s progress working with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and more.
Sally will also mention that maybe her interior design transition was a mistake, so she’ll consider the possibility that she should’ve stuck to fashion.
Later, Sally will sketch a dress in her suite at the GCAC. When Adam arrives, he’ll hug Sally and give her updates on some bad news.
Adam will act like the doctors at Connor’s facility are selling their elite therapy for top dollar and paying for their reputation.
Adam will contend that they’re a bunch of quacks or liars since they blamed Connor’s parents for triggering his OCD.
Sally will find out Connor’s specialists sent Adam and Chelsea home early because Connor sees himself as a bad son.
Adam will insist they just want to make the parents feel guiltier so they’ll pump more money into the facility.
At the coffeehouse, Chelsea will tell Billy about the doctors claiming Connor’s parents were triggers for his OCD. It turns out Connor’s OCD convinced him that Chelsea’s attempt to end her life was his fault.
Connor’s team wanted to take over for a few weeks without Chelsea and Adam around, so Billy will give Chelsea a pep talk and insist she’s not going through this alone.
Chelsea will appreciate the support on Friday’s Y&R episode, but it’ll break her heart to think that Connor is suffering because of her.
Back with Adam, he’ll push Sally to be honest and wonder if she thinks Connor’s doctors could be right.
Sally won’t feel qualified to answer that, but she’ll advise Adam not to file a lawsuit like he wants since Connor would probably blame himself for that, too.
Adam will suggest that if he’s indeed responsible for his son’s issues, then he doesn’t need to be Connor’s life.
After Adam confesses that maybe he was never meant to be a father, Sally will disagree and insist everyone knows Connor is his heart and soul.
Although Adam will break down in tears, Sally will offer plenty of encouragement and try to help him cope.
At Connor’s new residential facility, he’ll use hand sanitizer on a bench and look unsettled.
Once Lily runs into Nick at the GCAC, they’ll decide to have lunch together.
During their conversation, Lily will admit Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) got back together with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom).
Nick will acknowledge that it really stung when Sally reunited with Adam, but he’s doing better now and moving forward.
Although Nick will know it’ll take more time for Lily to reach that point, he’ll offer a positive prediction on what’s next for her.
Lily will think back on Billy telling her she has a fighting spirit and will make it clear that she’s indeed focused on the future.
After Lily mentions some of Billy’s insane ideas lately, Nick will suggest that anything can sound crazy until you’re ready to hear it.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily has some other bold moves ahead of her, so stay tuned.
