The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, January 26, reveals that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will seem like she’s on the verge of kissing Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but they’ll be interrupted by Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) knock at the door.
After Audra lets Tucker in, he’ll request privacy before Nate heads out. Tucker will sense that Audra’s up to something, but she won’t offer any details on her plans.
Once Tucker swears that he’s done with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) for good this time, he’ll point out that he’s throwing all his energy into Glacade.
Whether Audra wants to work with him or not, Tucker will insist he doesn’t want to lose her.
As Tucker takes Audra’s hand and starts playing up how well she knows him, he’ll contend that he wants to be with her. Tucker will think Audra wants that too and will push her not to fight this.
Audra will suspect Tucker is just desperate for a win right now and sees her as an easy way to get one. After Audra refuses to have a man settle for her, Tucker will argue that’s not what he’s doing.
Although Tucker will try to convince Audra that they should be together, she’ll think it’s time for her to stand on her own and will push him to leave.
Once Audra’s alone, she’ll seem a bit rattled before grabbing her purse and heading downstairs to meet back up with Nate.
In the meantime, Nate will bump into Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in the GCAC dining area, so that’ll give him a chance to ask about Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).
Victoria will thank Nate for asking and will open up a bit before Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) interrupts.
Once Nate meets Cole and takes off, Cole will quiz Victoria about her romantic history with Nate since the vibes were obvious.
Victoria will explain that things went south due to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) issues with Nate, so Cole will understand that it’s hard to come back from getting on Victor’s bad side.
As for Cole’s latest visit with Claire, he’ll insist she seems better and that he got a positive report from Claire’s doctors. Cole and Victoria will be on the same page about continuing to support Claire’s path to healing.
Speaking of healing paths, Ashley will be determined to get on the Jabot jet and fly to that Paris café for answers.
Ashley will feel like there may be an eyewitness on the waitstaff who could help confirm what happened with Tucker there.
Jack won’t like how much Ashley is obsessing over this, but he won’t be able to talk her out of going on Friday’s Y&R episode.
After Ashley leaves with her suitcase, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will admit to Jack that she already knows about Ashley’s plans and supports her pursuit of clarity.
Later, Traci will join Ashley on the jet and point out that she loves her along with Jack, so she’ll refuse to let her do this alone.
At Crimson Lights, Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) will congratulate Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) on scoring the co-CEO spot at Jabot.
Nikki will come along and privately point out that she knows Jack must’ve told Diane everything. However, Nikki will make it clear that her sobriety problems are still none of Diane’s business.
Diane will join Nikki on the patio and insist she’s genuinely rooting for Nikki’s recovery. When Diane can’t imagine that Victor would approve of Nikki leaning on Jack, Nikki will act like the “real” Diane is coming out now.
After briefly gloating about her new Jabot gig, Diane will reiterate that she supports Nikki’s recovery. Once Diane pushes for common ground, Nikki will dash off to work.
At the Jabot office, Jack will complain to Diane about Ashley’s Paris trip for answers, but Diane will think maybe it’s a good idea and will bet on Ashley winning her final showdown with Tucker.
Back with Audra, she’ll reconvene with Nate in the jazz lounge and once again fish to find out if he’s interested in a partnership. Audra will want Nate to quit Chancellor-Winters and come work with her once she takes over Glacade.
Nate will be skeptical when it comes to Audra being able to undermine things from the outside, so she’ll act like he’s brilliant and will plan to take a page out of Nate’s playbook.
At Newman Media, Audra will see that Nikki seems frazzled, so she’ll ask if Nikki’s OK. Nikki will claim she’s just distracted since there’s so much to do, so Audra will offer to take whatever she can off her plate.
When Nikki acts offended, Audra will try to make a speedy exit, but Nikki will snap that there’s no need to scurry off.
After Nikki says to stop humoring her, she’ll declare that she’s not going to break.
Nikki will get fed up and wish that she’d never admitted to Audra that she had a problem, so Audra won’t know what to say.
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that more drama’s ahead between Nikki and Audra, so stay tuned for updates on all the latest corporate news.
