The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, April 22, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will join Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) at Society, so they’ll chat about their kids and seem friendly.
However, Lily will insist she doesn’t trust Billy professionally and can’t go against her family to support his idea of them being partners running Chancellor-Winters together.
Furthermore, Lily will worry about Billy being power-hungry and pushing her down as he tries to rise to the top.
Billy will argue that he’d never betray Lily and will contend that her family would have her back even if he did.
Nevertheless, Lily will plan on clarifying Billy’s status at the upcoming board meeting, so she’ll announce that she’s going to urge the board to limit his power and remove him from being an officer of the company.
At the office later, Lily will feel blindsided when she learns Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) wants to put Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) back on the board.
It’ll become obvious that Lily’s miffed about not getting a heads-up.
Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will appear via video chat and vote against the idea due to Nate’s history of betrayal at Chancellor-Winters.
It’ll be too soon for Billy as well, so that’ll be another vote against Nate.
Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will vote yes along with Devon, so Lily will realize she’s the tie-breaker vote as she prepares to make her decision.
At the tack house, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will want Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) phone number so that she can send a text to Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and offer herself up as bait.
Victoria will eventually relent on one condition, but she’ll get pulled away by a phone call for a moment.
That’ll give Nikki a chance to sneak a drink from her flask before Victoria returns.
Victoria will accept that Nikki wants Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) kept out of the loop, but she won’t want Nikki to go through this alone.
Nikki will agree to let Victoria and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) help her, but she’ll object to the idea of letting Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) get involved since he could blab to Victor.
Once Cole gets updates on Nikki’s plan and shares his concerns, Nikki will get agitated and almost shaky.
Victoria will notice and ask if Nikki’s been drinking, so Nikki will lash out over the accusation.
After Victoria makes it clear she’s just asking a question from a place of concern, Nikki will settle down and embrace her. It’ll leave Nikki looking guilty as she promises Victoria that she hasn’t been drinking again.
At the Newman ranch, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will relay some news from the police, who questioned the delivery driver and got his story about the truck being stolen while he was at a convenience store.
Someone wearing dark clothes and a baseball cap was spotted on the security footage, so Victor will assume that was Jordan.
After Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) points out that Claire couldn’t have stolen the truck since she was at the party, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will express his belief that she’s a victim, too.
Victor will agree on Monday’s Y&R episode, but Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will continue to believe Claire’s involved and will get into another heated argument with Kyle.
Once Victor reveals that he wants to question the delivery driver himself, Chance will object to him going rogue and will think he should let the authorities handle this.
Victor will only care about finding Claire and Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), so he’ll take a harsh stance with Chance and push him to butt out.
Outside, Chance will fume about people like Victor being why he got out of law enforcement, but Summer will defend her grandpa since finding Harrison has to be the priority.
Summer won’t care how it happens as long as Harrison comes home, so she’ll urge Chance to see that he doesn’t know how he’d react in her situation.
Chance will ultimately soften and reassure Summer about finding Harrison before he leaves to get info from the lead detective.
Meanwhile, the delivery driver will be summoned to the ranch, where he’ll reveal his name is Dave (Andre Hotchko) and point out that Kyle said something about compensation.
Dave will argue that he already gave the cops his story, but Jack will warn that Victor will make his life a living hell if there are things he left out.
Since Jordan seemingly paid Dave to ditch his truck, Victor will offer him $100,000 for inside information.
Jack will mention the fact that a seven-year-old boy has been taken, so Victor will push Dave to fix his mistake and save a child’s life by telling them everything he knows.
