The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, April 8, reveals that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will join Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) at Society, where he’ll offer updates on Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) getting fired.
After Summer leaves Daniel a concerned voicemail, she’ll head to a GCAC suite with Chance and give him a massage.
Chance will initiate lovemaking before talk turns to Summer and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) nanny search in the aftermath.
Summer will remain wary of Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and won’t think it’s safe for her to be around Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), but she’ll consider the possibility that she’s just being a jerk about all this.
In the end, Summer will welcome Chance’s distraction of having drinks together since she really won’t want to think about Claire right now.
At the tack house, Claire will seem excited about moving in, but she’ll notice Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is a little off.
Victoria will eventually admit she’s finally mourning the loss of her home and all the memories that went up in flames.
Claire will comfort Victoria and plan to put the books her mom gave her in her chosen room.
Victoria will hug Claire and suggest the tack house is starting to feel more like home already.
Claire will also be tickled pink over getting her own key, so she’ll really be living the dream as they get settled in.
Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will hide her booze bottle before Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) walks in.
When Victor insists he knows about the vodka, Nikki will tense up for a moment.
However, Victor will just mean the vodka that the guy at Society sent her since Larry the security guard gave him the news.
Nikki will inform Victor that she doesn’t want to take their planned trip.
It would mean letting Jordan win and could give Jordan the opportunity to target Claire, too.
Instead, Nikki will want to throw a party so spectacular for the anniversary of their first wedding that Jordan can’t resist coming.
Victor won’t like the sound of that, but Nikki will argue that they’ll outnumber Jordan with security.
By the time they even know Jordan has infiltrated the party, she’ll already be apprehended according to Nikki.
After Nikki insists catching Jordan is the best way to celebrate, Victor will relent on the idea and plan to make some phone calls in preparation.
In another moment alone, Nikki will sneak more drinks from her vodka bottle and put it away once she hears Victoria arriving with Claire.
After Claire and Victoria appear on Monday’s Y&R episode, they’ll hear about Nikki’s decision to skip the trip and the anniversary party trap.
Since they’re going to have it at the jazz lounge, Victoria will want to take Claire there to check the place out.
Nikki will agree to go as well, so Victor will urge them to take Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) along.
At the athletic club, Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davison) younger alter, “Ash,” will order a ginger ale at the bar. “Ash” will change her mind and order a martini, but she’ll struggle to choke it down.
Although Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will invite Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to join him in the shower, she’ll seem pensive over the engagement ring on the nightstand and will ultimately head downstairs.
That’ll give Audra a chance to cross paths with “Ash,” who’ll insist she really needs to talk to Tucker since it’s important. “Ash” will point out that “she” wants to hurt Tucker really bad to protect Ashley and will want to warn him.
Audra won’t get why “Ash” is referring to someone else as Ashley and will consider the possibility that Ashley truly has lost her mind. “Ms. Abbott” will eventually take back control with her usual sass, so she’ll claim she just had a couple martinis on an empty stomach.
After “Ms. Abbott” acts like Audra’s blowing things out of proportion, she’ll suggest they should keep this between them.
Tucker will pop up next and start asking questions, so “Ms. Abbott” will tell Audra to get a sense of humor before taking off.
Once Audra informs Tucker about Ashley speaking about herself in the third person and trying to warn him, she’ll point out Ashley suddenly claimed she was just messing with her.
Tucker will suggest that maybe Ashley was, but Audra won’t think he believes that any more than she does.
Once “Ms. Abbott” heads upstairs to a suite, she’ll turn off the light and enter Ashley’s mind.
There’ll be a white room with three beds to represent what’s going on in Ashley’s head.
“Ms. Abbott” will shout to wake up “Ash” since she’ll want to get something straight with the little brat!
