The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 18, reveals that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will give Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) updates on her upcoming video chat with Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) facility and will express concern since Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will also be on the call.
After Adam arrives and gets confirmation that Billy won’t be part of this session, Billy will head to work.
Adam will have an attitude about Connor’s “so-called doctors,” but Chelsea will push him to truly hear Connor’s specialists out.
At Adam’s place, Chelsea and Adam will be surprised to find that only Dr. Hammond is on the video call, but she’ll assure them that she’s working in tandem with Connor’s other doctors – including his trauma specialist.
Adam will wonder why Connor needs that, so Dr. Hammond will explain that Connor has also been diagnosed with trauma and that it’s being treated as a separate issue from his obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Although Connor’s trauma didn’t cause his OCD, Chelsea will realize certain traumatic events may have opened the door to what Connor’s dealing with now.
Adam and Chelsea will be alarmed over Connor questioning why he was even born, but Dr. Hammond will assure them that Connor is journaling and focusing on the first step of his ERP therapy.
At Connor’s treatment center, he’ll be seen working on his journal project as he sits on a bench.
Connor will have to write the three things that scare him most, but he’ll eventually get frustrated with the assignment and just start counting.
After the video call, Chelsea will cry as she blames herself for Connor’s problems since she’ll believe this all started with what happened on the rooftop.
Chelsea will also worry about Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) demise and the bio brother news about Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) since those things could’ve affected Connor as well.
Adam will seem like he’s blaming himself too as he reflects on his past and how much trauma has been in his family.
Although Adam will worry that Connor’s going to resent them and want nothing to do with them after his treatment, Chelsea won’t want to hear this and will take off.
Once Adam is alone on Thursday’s Y&R episode, he’ll call Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and ask if she can help him before he makes things worse.
At Chancellor Winters, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will question if it’s really worth going to court with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and will think maybe they should just surrender Princess Luisa along with whatever else he wants.
Billy will walk in and agree with Nate since Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) could paint Lily as a villain in the press through this lawsuit.
Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) act like he’s on Lily’s side, but Billy will think that’s only because Devon wants to go against him.
Lily will suggest taking this issue to the board and letting them decide, but Devon and Nate won’t be so sure that’s the right call.
Billy will support the idea, so Devon will assume that’s because he expects the board to vote his way.
Once Lily is alone with Devon, he’ll basically point out that she gets to choose how ugly this battle’s going to get.
Lily will refuse to let Daniel take anything else from her, so she’ll stand her ground and declare that she’s tired of playing nice!
Back with Billy, he’ll meet up with Chelsea at Crimson Lights.
Chelsea will still be emotional, so she’ll fret to Billy about Connor potentially wanting nothing to do with his parents after his whole journey.
At Society, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will notice Daniel sitting with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) through the window as she reassures Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) about Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) over the phone.
Since Summer won’t want Phyllis to say anything to Daniel about the kidnapping, Phyllis won’t mention it when she approaches Daniel and Danny’s table.
Phyllis will be far more interested in needling Danny about Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) and will bet that “the bug” is going to choose her career over Danny’s tour.
After Danny leaves, Phyllis will talk to Daniel about all the messes at Chancellor-Winters and will unsuccessfully fish for info from Nate and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) when they arrive.
At the GCAC, Danny will give Christine a concert tour shirt and hope that she’s going to say yes to coming on tour with him.
Christine won’t be able to walk away from this important case, so Danny will understand despite his disappointment.
Once Christine says she can still come out on weekends every now and then, she’ll suggest making the most of the time they have left.
That’ll be an offer Danny can’t refuse, so they’ll end the conversation on a sweet note.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Christine and Danny will have to deal with a long-distance relationship soon, so we’ll bring you more predictions on whether their love will survive!
