The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 22, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have another strategy session with Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) and point out that all the positive news stories about Glissade can be traced back to Newman Media.
Diane will worry that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) can’t be trusted, but Jack will decide to meet with him anyway and hope he can pry some info out of him as a friend.
In the park, Adam will have a tense encounter with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), who’ll be smug and bitter despite all the free press Glissade’s getting.
Kyle and Adam will take jabs about their work qualifications, but Adam will push him to just accept the win when it comes to Glissade getting hyped.
Once Adam takes a call from Jack and agrees to meet up for a drink, he’ll tell Kyle that he’s lucky to have Jack for a father and doesn’t even realize it.
Later, Jack will sit down for a hush-hush conversation with Adam at the jazz lounge and fish for info on Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) agenda regarding Kyle.
Adam will acknowledge that he’s been tasked with playing up Glissade through Newman Media, so Jack will assume Victor is indeed the mystery investor.
After Adam makes it clear that he won’t play dirty for Victor against Jack or Jabot, Jack will ask him to extend his protection to Kyle.
Adam will be willing to keep his eyes and ears open for Jack, who’ll be grateful.
At the Abbott mansion, Diane will make another plea for Kyle to stay at the house with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), but his mind will be made up about moving out.
Although Diane will cry and wonder what it’s going to take to end this feud, Kyle will blast his mom over the past and insist she won’t own up to screwing him over.
While Jack and Diane compare notes later, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will cross paths with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at Crimson Lights.
Sally will find out Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) pushed for a break, so she’ll suspect Billy is hoping to run into her.
After Sally points out there’s a logical explanation for what happened in Baltimore, Billy won’t want to let his mind go there until Chelsea confesses her side of things.
Sally will recall that losing Ava Spectra brought up feelings that helped her reconnect with Adam.
Now Sally will worry that Chelsea and Adam bonded in a similar way over Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) issues – which could’ve led to that “one night.”
Since she’ll be fed up with all the lies on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Sally will decide she’s tired of waiting around and will think they deserve the truth.
That’s why Sally will confront Adam once she makes it back home.
Sally will suggest it’s a simple “yes or no” question and ask Adam if he slept with Chelsea in Baltimore.
Back at the coffeehouse, Chelsea will bump into Billy and become overwhelmed by how awkward things are between them.
Billy will give Chelsea one more nudge to come clean so they can get through this together.
Chelsea will get teary as she decides she can’t run from all the guilt anymore.
After Chelsea says she betrayed Billy along with his trust and love, she’ll add that she did something horrible and hates herself for it.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will also have tears in his eyes as he hugs Chelsea, so we’ll bring you more predictions on their future and updates on any other romantic drama.
