The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, February 1, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will leave a voicemail expressing concern for Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) before drunk Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) stumbles into his office. Nikki will fall into Jack’s arms and show him the story about the prison fire to explain what triggered her.
However, Jack will urge Nikki to trust that Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) security team can protect her if Jordan (Colleen Zenk) pops back up. After Jack suggests a meeting, he’ll point out that Nikki wouldn’t be the first person to attend one less than sober.
After Nikki attends the meeting with Jack and opens up, she’ll seem more hopeful about sticking to her goals and conquering her disease.
In Victor’s office, he’ll bark at an employee over the phone and push for their own investigation into Jordan’s fate.
At Newman Media, Nikki will thank Jack for his help and get reassurance that she’s got this as they embrace. When Jack turns around to leave, Victor will be standing in the doorway glaring at him.
“What are you doing here?” Victor will ask Jack as Nikki looks on.
Meanwhile, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will tell Ashley “bonjour” in a voicemail and insist he knows she’s headed back to the café where they had their fight.
Tucker will seem smug about Ashley finally finding out the truth of what happened, so Ashley will listen to the voicemail and fume.
Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will be there with Ashley as she asks the American waiter who witnessed the conflict for help.
The waiter will remember Tucker getting angry and storming out, but he’ll claim he doesn’t recall a broken glass or a thrown chair.
Ashley will become convinced that Tucker must’ve paid the waiter off, but the man will insist he’s only spoken the truth.
As Ashley becomes increasingly upset, she’ll argue that she’s not wrong about how things went down. After Ashley says she needs to be alone, she’ll take off and leave Traci concerned.
At the GCAC, Tucker and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will push each other’s buttons at the bar. Kyle will contend Glissade is still going to crash and burn under the new board that Tucker bought for himself.
Tucker will think it’s a shame Kyle chickened out of joining his side since now he’s been passed over for the job he really wants.
Until Kyle can step out of Jack’s shadow, Tucker will act like Kyle’s never going to doing to make a name for himself.
While Traci leaves Jack a voicemail with the news that Ashley’s disappeared, Ashley will wander the Paris streets looking frazzled.
Ashley will eventually speak to Tucker over the phone and accuse him of paying off the waiter, but Tucker will feel like Ashley needs to accept that things didn’t happen the way she claimed.
After Ashley says she’s not delusional and hangs up on Tucker, he’ll seem pensive on Thursday’s Y&R episode.
At Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) place, he’ll seem distracted and raise Lucy Romalotti’s (Lily Brooks O’Briant) suspicions.
Lucy will point out that Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) has been acting the same way, so she’ll wonder if Heather and Daniel had a fight.
When Heather shows up and asks to speak with Daniel alone, Lucy will once again be suspicious of their “work” conversation.
Once Heather convinces Lucy to go in her room, Lucy will leave the door ajar so she can eavesdrop.
As Daniel and Heather discuss their situation, Lucy will realize her parents are technically back together – though they have to keep it on the down low until Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is ready for that info.
Daniel will assure Heather that he’s not backing out and won’t make her wait too long. After Daniel makes it clear that he wants to fix their family, he’ll hear Lucy at the door.
Daniel and Heather will urge Lucy to come out, so she’ll reappear and seem over the moon about her parents finding their way back to each other.
Lucy will understand the Lily dilemma and hope they can still do family stuff in the meantime, so Daniel and Heather will confirm that they can before they all share a group hug.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily could discover the truth sooner than planned, so stay tuned for updates on the mess that may be brewing.
