The Young and the Restless Recap: Tuesday, January 30 – Victor Hides Jordan Security Alert – Audra Lies to Tucker

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 30, reveals that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will ask Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to go out for a drink after work, so they’ll both end up at the athletic club.

That’s also where Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will meet with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), who’ll be suspicious of her change of heart about coming to work at Glacade.

Audra will claim she quit her job at Newman Media, but Tucker will think maybe she got fired instead.

Although Audra will deny that on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Tucker will remain suspicious – especially when he sees the looks that Audra and Nate keep exchanging.

Audra will act like she’s sleeping with Nate, but Tucker won’t believe her and will continue to wonder how Nate fits into her leaving her job.

Audra will try to get Tucker to focus on their own partnership, but Tucker will play hard to get and suggest he’ll have to think about it.

Meanwhile, Devon will notice Nate looking at Audra and ask about their friendship, but Nate will act like they’re just polite acquaintances at this point. Nate will suggest the real reason he’s looking over at Audra’s table is Tucker since he’s toxic.

After Nate apologizes for referring to Devon’s bio dad that way, Devon will insist he already figured out Tucker’s toxic nature.

Although Nate has worked to prove he deserves another chance to be part of Devon’s family, Devon will think Tucker’s proved just the opposite.

Once Devon heads out, Nate will approach Audra’s table. Audra will talk about trying to get back in Tucker’s good graces so that she can undermine Glacade from the inside.

Nate will be concerned about Audra getting sucked back in Tucker’s web, she’ll think this is just how the game is played – and she’ll think it’s her turn to win.

In Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) office, she’ll look panicked as she sits with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) knocks on the door.

When Victor finds that it’s locked and hears nothing on the other side, he’ll head back to his own office.

Jack won’t like all this sneaking around, so he’ll revisit the topic of telling Victor the truth about him being Nikki’s sponsor.

Once Jack admits he spoke with Victor earlier to gauge where his thinking is, Nikki will flip out and remind Jack that he promised to keep quiet. Nikki won’t want to stress Victor out even further or let her husband see how fragile she is.

When Nikki tears up over needing to do with the support of someone who’s been there and understands, Jack will insist he’s her guy.

Victor will eventually get Nikki on the phone, so she’ll claim she just went for a walk outside. Since Victor was looking for Nikki earlier, she’ll suggest she can come to him and will head for his office.

After Jack returns home, he’ll give Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) updates on his concerns about Nikki, so Diane will worry that maybe Jack’s taking on too much. However, Jack will reassure Diane before offering to take her out for Champagne and dancing.

At the jazz lounge, Diane and Jack will spot Tucker at the bar as they arrive. Jack will step over and speak with Tucker, who’ll admit he heard Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) went back to Paris.

Tucker will suspect Ashley took his advice and that she’s headed back to the café they visited. Jack won’t be happy about Tucker somehow finding out Ashley’s plans, but Tucker will suggest he makes it his business to know things like that.

Although Tucker will think Ashley’s going to realize she was wrong about the level of their fight, Jack will hint that maybe Ashley will realize she was right and wash her hands of Tucker for good.

When Jack suggests that even Tucker’s delusions won’t keep him warm, Tucker will chuckle over the comment.

In Victor’s office, he’ll express concern to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about Nikki confiding in Jack.

Once Nikki arrives, she’ll talk about getting a new sponsor that’s a better fit, but she’ll be sure to omit Jack’s name and any identifying information.

After Victor takes Nikki out to dinner at Society, he’ll talk about his run-in with Jack and complain about Nikki opening up to him.

Nikki will point out that hiding things from people who care about her only makes her feel more ashamed, so she’ll act like honesty is a good thing for her recovery.

Nevertheless, Victor will point out that he likes to keep matters like this within the family. As for Jack, Victor will make it clear that he doesn’t trust him.

Once a call comes in from security, Victor will learn that a fire broke out at the prison where Jordan (Colleen Zenk) is being held, but there won’t be any news on how many survivors or casualties yet.

After Victor hangs up and tells Nikki that the phone call was just about business, she won’t look like she believes him.

At Crimson Lights, Nick will smile as he witnesses Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) doing an incredible job on a video chat with her sales team.

After Nick calls Sharon amazing and praises all the great work she’s doing, Sharon will quiz him about Nikki’s recovery.

Nick will worry about Nikki not being able to beat her disease, but Sharon will offer some words of encouragement.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon and Nick will continue to strengthen their bond in the weeks ahead, so stay tuned.
