The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 17, reveals that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will show up incredibly early at the Abbott mansion, so Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will notice she seems drunk and will offer to talk with her privately on the terrace.
When Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) doesn’t seem too happy about that, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will notice.
However, Y&R spoilers say Traci and Diane will ultimately turn their attention to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), who’ll admit she’s a little fuzzy and shaky – though she slept well.
Ashley won’t remember lashing out at the whole family last night, so she’ll be eager to get some help ASAP.
Traci will confirm Ashley’s new doctor appointment over the phone, but Ashley will admit she’s scared of what the doctor might say.
Fortunately, Traci will vow to go with Ashley to her appointment this morning and stay right by her side.
As for the Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) kidnapping ordeal, Traci will lie to Ashley and just act like Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) took Harrison to the doctor since he was sick.
Diane will give Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) a pep talk and a hug while Jack gives Nikki a pep talk of her own.
After Nikki confesses to having a couple drinks at an all-night bar, Jack will be proud of her for coming to him for support.
Jack will also offer reassurance about bringing Harrison home and seeing to it that the people responsible for it are punished.
At the tack house, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will mull over questions about Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and whether she took her parents’ initial rejection too hard or wasn’t ready to be released from the hospital.
Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) won’t blame Victoria for having doubts, but they’ll both be more inclined to think Claire has become Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) victim again.
It’ll leave Victoria worried about the possibility that Jordan plans to hurt Claire or already has.
At Crimson Lights, Summer will give Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) updates on Harrison’s abduction.
Nick will ask what the next step is, so Summer will admit they’re waiting on instructions from “that psychopath Claire.”
Although Nick will also fret over Victoria’s devastation, Summer will rant about everyone trying to put all the blame on Jordan.
Once Kyle calls to check in with Summer, she’ll snap at him and hang up. Nick will wonder if maybe Summer is being a little hard on Kyle since he’s going through the same thing right now.
Phyllis will defend Summer’s anger since Kyle left Harrison with a maniac, but Nick will note that Kyle isn’t the only person who was convinced Claire had changed.
Summer will maintain that everyone is wrong about Claire, so she’ll continue to believe her cousin is in on Jordan’s kidnapping plot.
After Summer works herself into a tizzy and rushes out the door, she’ll visit Harrison’s bedroom and cry as she cuddles his favorite stuffed fox.
As for Nick, he’ll tell Phyllis that Jordan must pay for good and that they have to bring Harrison home.
At the ranch, Nikki will confess to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracy E. Bregman) about having two drinks before visiting Jack, so Lauren will offer to take her to a meeting.
Back at the Abbott house, Kyle will get another text from Claire’s phone, so he’ll relay the news to Jack about it asking for Jordan’s safe passage out of the country.
Kyle will point out that they’ve been instructed to ask Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about the details of his last offer.
The text will claim that Claire’s going to reveal Harrison’s location once Jordan has made it to safety.
Kyle will realize Claire isn’t asking anything for herself, so he’ll find that odd since she could be facing kidnapping charges.
It’ll leave Kyle thinking Claire isn’t part of Jordan’s scheme.
Jack will feel like the important thing is filling in Victor since Jordan wants her previous deal back.
At the ranch again, Victor will assume Claire isn’t involved since there’s nothing in the instructions that would help her.
Jack and Kyle will ask about Victor’s previous offer, so Victor will explain that Jordan wants money, a new identity and a chateau in the south of France.
Kyle will fear that they’ll have no leverage if they fulfill Jordan’s demands and only get Harrison’s location afterward.
Victor will insist Kyle and Jack should send a text back agreeing that the deal stands – just as long as Harrison is delivered to them safely.
