The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, March 20 – Claire’s Alternate Eve Reality – Jordan Invades Birthday Dream

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 20, reveals that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will all seem shaken up when they return home.

Nikki will offer to make tea since that might help them sleep, but Claire will wonder if sleep is even possible after what just happened.

When Victoria suggests they shouldn’t talk about it right now, Claire will agree that she doesn’t even want to think about what went down in that basement.

After Claire asks Nikki and Victoria to stay with her, they’ll talk on the sofa until Claire starts yawning. Victoria and Nikki will both offer some goodnight hugs before Claire falls asleep on the sofa alone.

Once Claire seemingly wakes up, the sun will be shining in. It’ll quickly become obvious that Claire is still asleep and dreaming a happy version of her life – one where Jordan (Colleen Zenk) never stole her.

Victor will keep calling Claire “sweetheart” and will urge her to hurry up since they’re having one of their usual Newman family breakfasts at the club.

After Victor thinks back to when Claire used to eat a pancake in her baby seat, he’ll encourage “Eve” to get ready.

Claire will notice she’s now included in a framed Newman family photo, so she’ll be pleased yet rather bewildered.

At the GCAC, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will greet “Eve” with a big hug before they gush about how fun the three of them had on their recent trip to Cabo.

Abby and Summer will also credit “Eve” with helping them patch things up when Abby slept with Summer’s husband once upon a time.

Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will enter with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so they’ll talk about their racquetball game before Cole mentions something about Nick being “Eve’s” godfather.

There’ll be talk about how “Eve” is the most fun, fashionable, brilliant Newman, so Claire will be having the time of her life until Jordan invades her dream out of the blue.

Claire will concentrate and wish Jordan away before focusing on the Newman family celebration again.

Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will join the gathering and sing “Eve’s” praises for showing up in a dinosaur costume at Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) birthday party.

When Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) pops up as a waiter, it’ll be revealed that “Eve” turned him into the police twice.

Although Adam was cleared both times, he couldn’t get a better job after “Eve” scored all those brownie points with Victor.

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) will arrive next, so Claire will be taken aback over Cassie being alive – though she’ll decide not to ask too many questions.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will also join Nick, so it’ll be apparent that they’re a happy couple in this alternate reality.

When Claire asks how long they’ve been back together, Nick and Sharon will insist they’ve been together since before “Eve” was born.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will bring Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) to the gathering, so they’ll still be a united family with Summer as well. It’ll be revealed that “Eve” is a teacher, so she’ll be glad over that news.

Once Victor and Nikki finally make it to the table, Claire will wonder why this breakfast seems so special.

Victoria will come waltzing in with birthday balloons as the Newmans assure “Eve” that they could never forget her birthday.

Jordan will eventually pop up again with an IV of vodka for Nikki, but Claire will pause the festivities and snap that Jordan can’t be there.

That’ll lead to Jordan mocking “Eve” and this fantasy life she’s created.

If this is what Claire really wants, Jordan will tell her to come fight for it and will dash into the jazz lounge. Claire will follow and find a Victorian doll on the table soon after.

Jordan will resurface and insist this is all a dream that will go “poof” soon enough. After Jordan rants about Claire throwing her out, she’ll guess what Claire really wanted were ponies and party clothes.

Jordan will rant about the Newmans’ sordid lives and will feel confident they’re going to show their true colors.

Claire will act like Jordan’s the nasty one who’s only focused on avenging a sister who didn’t even need avenging.

Now that Jordan has wasted every second of her life, Claire will insist it’s too late for her great-aunt. Jordan will disagree since she has a lot more to burn down, so Claire will wonder what that means.

After Jordan says she changed the course of Claire’s life and can do it again, Claire will intend on going back to her birthday celebration.

Once Claire says Jordan can’t hurt her anymore, she’ll tell her to just go to hell!

On Claire’s way back to her party, she’ll get stopped by Adam.

Although Claire has fooled the others, Adam will act like he sees her sinister streak and the potential for her to unleash it.

On Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Claire will declare that they’re not the same since Adam can’t change, but she already has.

Back at the birthday bash, “Eve” will give her wishes to the rest of the group since she already has everything she could ever want.

That’ll lead to some wishes around the table like a younger sibling for Dominic and one for Harrison, too.

“Eve” will ultimately think of one final wish for herself, but she’ll suddenly wake up on the Newman sofa and call out for her mom.

Victoria will come running and comfort Claire as she wonders how long it’s going to be before they can rest easy again.
