The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there’s a key player who’s been left out of Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) storyline so far – and it’s been a truly glaring omission!
Although Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and even Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) have been working to support Ashley, her own daughter hasn’t been part of the drama at all.
Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) absolutely needs to be brought in the loop on Ashley’s serious mental decline, so that’s a problem that’ll hopefully be addressed soon.
Of course, the real reason Abby hasn’t been tangled up in all this may be the result of some scheduling issues behind the scenes.
Nevertheless, the fact remains that Abby isn’t involved in a story that she very much should be involved in.
Abby could be in for a shock once “Belle” aka Ashley’s newest alter heads to Society with Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins), her psychologist friend that she opened up to back in Paris.
Although Abby hired Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) as a day manager, she still checks in often at Society and might pop up at exactly the right time.
This would be a great opportunity for Abby to meet “Belle” and totally flip out.
Y&R’s preview video for the week of April 29-May 3 features “Belle” having a conversation with Alan at Society, where Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) can be seen in the background at the bar.
Jack may end up babysitting Ashley since she’s got a habit of taking off without warning – at least when her alters are in control.
Maybe Abby will have a wild encounter with “Belle” and demand answers from Jack moments later.
Abby might tear into her uncle and argue that Jack should’ve told her that Ashley was experiencing some sort of mental downward spiral.
Whatever the case, it’d be nice to see Abby get a chance to show some concern for Ashley. It’d be a much better use of the character than the Chancellor-Winters mess that Abby’s stuck in lately.
Our predictions indicate Abby will get updates on Ashley’s blackouts, mood swings and personality shifts sooner or later, so stay tuned for her reaction to that troubling news.
Abby and the other Abbotts will ultimately get confirmation that Ashley has dissociative identity disorder, there’ll be even more fears as this storyline moves along.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashley will get treatment at some point, but she’ll spin out a bit more first!
