Could a reunion still be possible for Chance and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway)?
Abby and Chance are at least going to be sharing more scenes soon enough.
There are some surprises in store for these exes, so let’s look at what Melissa Ordway had to say about the situation in a recent interview.
A red-carpet moment was shared on @soaphubtiktok that eventually made its way onto other social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter.
Ordway’s comments are certainly creating some buzz, especially when it comes to Abby’s romantic future.
For starters, Ordway admitted what’s coming up for Abby is different than what she feels people are expecting.
In fact, Ordway herself was surprised when she opened her script and saw where her story was heading next.
When the interviewer held out hope that the door wasn’t completely closed on Chance and Abby, Ordway had an interesting response.
“I think we’re gonna maybe see what happens with that!” Ordway exclaimed with a grin – and then she hinted that Abby and Chance would be forced to spend more time together soon.
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Chance and Abby will reunite as a couple, but it’s interesting that these exes will be sharing the screen more often.
That at least presents the possibility of a romantic reunion somewhere down the road.
It’s easy to imagine old feelings resurfacing somewhere along the way, especially now that Chance has decided to walk away from the police force.
Chance’s dangerous job and all the time he devoted to it were huge problems in his marriage to Abby.
Now those problems aren’t a factor, so that could be something that’s discussed as Abby and Chance potentially grow closer again.
Naturally, we can’t forget about Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) and his own love for Abby, but it’d be simple for Y&R writers to tear them apart through Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) issues or something else.
Whatever happens, Melissa Ordway offered a glimmer of hope for a Chance and Abby reunion at some point, so stick with us for updates on whether any positive romantic news might be brewing.
