The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Mishael Morgan will reprise the role of Amanda Sinclair during the week of February 19-23, so it’ll be great to see Amanda back in Genoa City. As for why Amanda will make her big return, it looks like Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will set it in motion.
Billy has latched onto the idea that “Abbott” should be included in Chancellor-Winters’ company name, so he wants Abbott-Chancellor-Winters instead – or ACW for short.
Despite Devon Hamilton-Winters’ (Bryton James) attempt to shut him down, Billy won’t give up without a fight.
That’s where Amanda will come in since it seems Billy will recruit her for legal backup.
Amanda will make quite a splash when she surprises Devon and steps up for Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) – presumably by threatening to take this to court.
Of course, it looks like Billy will be the real mastermind here, so he’ll no doubt be grateful for Amanda’s comeback and willingness to help.
Since Y&R will be playing up Amanda and Billy’s old bond, it could leave some viewers wishing their pairing had been explored to its full potential.
Billy and Amanda had some great chemistry once upon a time, but they fizzled fast instead of having a chance to pursue a real love story.
Do Amanda and Billy deserve a second chance to sizzle in GC? Could this team-up lead to familiar flying sparks and set the stage for a betrayal?
Billy and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) relationship is going well, but it’s definitely entered boring territory at this point.
Chelsea and Billy need something to shake up their romance, so some cheating would do the trick.
While Amanda’s in town, it’d be simple for unexpected temptation to boil over. Billy might do something he regrets and surrender to that temptation if Amanda meets him halfway.
By the time Amanda flies out again, perhaps Billy could find himself with a big secret.
It’d be interesting to watch Billy tackle the pressure of keeping something like that from Chelsea – at least until the truth inevitably blew up anyway.
Naturally, there’s no guarantee any passionate lines will be crossed while Amanda’s in Genoa City helping Billy out, but it’s an intriguing idea to mull over.
Billy is long overdue for some self-sabotage, so this could be the perfect storyline to make that happen.
