The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will face a major setback as their big day draws near. There’ll be some hurdle that threatens to derail Devon and Abby’s wedding, so what’s it going to be?
Abby and Devon specifically picked a wedding date that was far enough away for Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to be in attendance.
Ashley should be released from her mental health facility and have plenty of time to make it home for the November 13 ceremony.
However, it’d indeed be a big hurdle for these Y&R nuptials if Ashley went missing. Could Abby panic over her mom’s vanishing act as the wedding gets closer?
Abby doesn’t want to get married without Ashley there – not to mention she’d be too worried to focus if her mother disappeared.
Perhaps Ashley’s homecoming after her facility release won’t go according to plan.
There’s a good chance that “Alan Laurent” (Christopher Cousins) is actually his twisted twin, Martin Laurent, so he might volunteer to personally escort Ashley back from France.
That could give Martin some alone time with Ashley and set the stage for disaster.
What if Ashley realizes pretty quickly that “Alan” is actually Martin? Could Martin kidnap Ashley and hold her hostage somewhere to silence her?
In that case, “Alan” might pretend Ashley vanished on him at the airport or something along those lines.
Then again, Ashley might actually make it back to Genoa City before she figures out that Martin somehow survived the balcony tumble and switched places with is brother one last time.
Martin could still take matters into his own hands and lock Ashley up somewhere to keep her from blabbing his swap scheme.
Regardless, Ashley may be poised to make a shocking Martin discovery and plan to warn Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).
It could leave Martin desperate to silence Ashley and lead to her disappearance, so Abby and Devon may have a pre-wedding mystery to solve.
