The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will remain caught in the middle of Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) custody feud.
Summer’s got it stuck in her head that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is the big bad wolf and poses some huge threat to Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).
You’d think Audra was as bad as Jordan (Colleen Zenk) considering how Summer’s been acting lately!
It’s one thing for Summer to hate Audra for hooking up with Kyle while she was still married to him. Audra and Summer don’t get along, so that’s understandable.
However, when has Audra ever given any indication that she wants to bond with Harrison?
It doesn’t add up for Summer to rant about Audra’s “access” to a kid Audra doesn’t know or want anything to do with.
Audra doesn’t exactly give off cuddly maternal vibes, so why would Summer think she’s eager to hang out with Harrison and influence him? It’s easy to see that Audra is all about business and only cares about herself.
Unfortunately, Summer will take her nonsensical Audra fears to the extreme by telling Kyle to ban her from his life completely.
It’ll be a real sticking point for Summer when it comes to reaching a solution on this custody battle.
Of course, Kyle will balk at that idea in the August 12 episode and argue that Summer can’t tell him who to work with.
Summer will at least want Kyle to force Audra out of Glissade, but he can’t since Victor was adamant about Kyle and Audra being a co-CEO team.
Victor also doesn’t want Summer to know he’s behind Glissade’s new rise against Jabot, so what’s he going to do? Since Victor hopes to avoid any courtroom drama, he might put Audra in a tight spot.
Victor might give Audra what feels like an impossible task: convince Summer that she’s not a threat or risk losing her Glissade job.
Audra seems to be at the heart of Summer and Kyle’s custody issues, so Victor may warn her to handle Summer or else she’ll find herself unemployed.
It’s not Audra’s fault that Summer is acting this way, but Victor may insist it’s her responsibility to fix it.
Maybe Audra needs to confront Summer and make it crystal clear that Harrison isn’t even a thought in her mind.
Audra might argue that it’s fine for someone like Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) to care about finding worms with a little boy and reading bedtime stories, but she’s not interested in any of that.
Audra probably considers all children to be snot-nosed brats, so there’s really no reason for Summer to be flipping out about this.
If Audra promises to never have any kind of interaction with Harrison at all, would that make a difference to Summer?
