Chelsea may accept Billy’s proposal and get ready to become Mrs. Abbott, but that’s when Bill could make a startling discovery.
Will Billy learn Chelsea cheated with Adam and be reminded of some past pain?
The last time Billy was set to marry Chelsea, she betrayed him with Adam back when he was posing as Gabriel Bingham.
Billy wound up humiliating Chelsea by dumping her at the altar, so could the same thing happen now?
It’d be so easy for Y&R to repeat history here by having Billy pretend they’re going to live happily after before breaking Chelsea’s heart.
Chelsea may find herself devastated and humiliated all over again if Billy goes through with a plan like this.
Of course, Chelsea has been through a lot, so it’s possible Billy will avoid taking a route this cruel – especially considering everything that’s going on with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) now.
At the same time, it would be deliciously soapy, so he may let anger cloud his judgment and get furious enough to move forward with some pretend wedding plans.
Whatever the case, it seems likely Billy and Chelsea’s engagement will happen in the coming weeks.
That could raise the stakes and set the stage for Chelsea to face a rude awakening on her wedding day down the road.
