The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) recently decided to break up with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and set him free. Since Sharon just couldn’t see a future with Chance, she dumped him and hoped that he could find lasting love with someone else.
Whether Chance and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) have a future together or not, Sharon plans to wait for real love and just enjoy running her company for a while.
That seems like a healthy plan, but it also sounds rather boring under the circumstances.
Sharon is making some updates to her love life, but that could mean another round of bad news for her airtime!
This feels like yet another excuse for TPTB to sideline Sharon with business drama instead of the hot romances that soaps are known for.
Of course, the show’s been offering some huge hints about a possible Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) reunion, but this isn’t the first time that’s happened.
Can Y&R be trusted to follow through on Nick and Sharon getting back together this time around? Is this just another fake-out or the setup for Sharon and Nick to truly reunite?
Regardless, Sharon’s recent dream episode highlighted an interesting connection that’s mostly been ignored.
Sharon and Jason Thompson’s version of Billy Abbott actually have some sizzling onscreen chemistry that’s been going to waste!
Despite some hints about Billy and Sharon’s possible romance back in 2018, the writers quickly dropped the idea and haven’t even had them interact much in recent years.
That changed with some lovely scenes in the January 5 episode, which created plenty of buzz and left many fans rooting for Sharon and Billy on social media.
Although Billy is with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) right now, that doesn’t seem like a relationship that’s meant to last.
It’d be great if the show could finally take advantage of Billy and Sharon’s chem with a new storyline for them.
If nothing else, maybe Sharon could forget about waiting for real love and focus on having fun again in the meantime.
Billy might do the same if he ends up needing to cope with a Chelsea split at some point.
Since the show may not be in a hurry to push the Sharon and Nick reunion forward, it’s a shame that they’re not capitalizing on Sharon and Billy’s intriguing vibe instead.
