The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that fans should always expect the unexpected in the land of Genoa City.
As viewers know, Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) share a three-decade long rivalry that hasn’t slowed down over the years.
Fans were recently reminded of this during Phyllis’s 30th anniversary special episode that took place on Friday, October 18.
Still, it looks like they may place their grudge aside just long enough to help Daniel Romalotti (Michael Grazadei) out of the mess he’s currently in.
Not only did the love of his life pass away, but Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is also working overtime to frame him for Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) passing.
As Sharon blacked out during Heather’s demise, it still seems iffy if she was the one who did the deed.
However, one thing’s for certain, she believes she has, and she’s crossed a lot of lines along the way.
She not only has successfully covered up her role in “cleaning up” the crime scene and disposing of Heather’s body, but is also pinning the entire thing on Daniel in an act of revenge for Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) passing so many years ago.
Phyllis has a hunch that Sharon could be behind this all, and is determined to clear Daniel’s name.
During the week of October 21-25, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) is set to reach out to his son and the two will have a video chat.
Then, on Thursday, October 24, Christine will return to GC, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Danny will urge his love to go and help his son.
He’s obviously got a ton of concerts left and can’t disappoint his adoring fans, so Christine will rush back home so she can not only support her Godson, but be there for Daniel in Danny’s absence, and also represent him as an attorney.
While there’s bad blood between Phyllis and Christine, one thing they can agree on is Daniel’s innocence.
Both women also have unconditional love for him and would do just about anything to secure his freedom.
Phyllis may play underhanded, and Christine may go by the book, but both ladies won’t stop until Daniel’s name is cleared!
Could the ladies decide to team up? While they don’t see eye-to-eye on things, Phyllis has to acknowledge that Christine is the best lawyer Daniel could have by his side.
While Christine isn’t a Phyllis fan, she does admire her nemesis’ momma bear instincts and love for her children.
Phyllis may reveal to Christine her thoughts on Sharon, which could have the lawyer pouncing on an angle if and when Daniel’s case heads to court.
Phyllis got fluffed off for suggesting Sharon is the culprit behind this frame job by Daniel and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), but Christine might not be so quick to dismiss the idea.
Could Christine believing Phyllis may be on to something bond the ladies?
The Young and the Restless spoilers remind fans how much the soap loves to bring enemies together for a good cause.
After all, they’ve done it in the past countless times with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
But could this situation be the very thing that helps abolish Christine and Phyllis’s rivalry, for good? Fans will have to tune in to find out.
