The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) assured Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) would stay happy and safe, but that prediction won’t turn out to be true. Claire is headed for trouble – and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may be partly to blame!
In the July 2 episode, Claire admitted to Kyle that she never developed a habit or taste for drinking since Jordan (Colleen Zenk) forbade it.
However, Claire wanted to try Kyle’s fancy Champagne and could easily develop a taste for it as time goes on.
There has to be a reason why Y&R’s focusing on this whole booze thing – especially since Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) had another alcohol-related conversation with Faith Newman (Relynn Caster) not too long ago.
Faith surprised Lucy by confessing that stayed away from alcohol because she almost died the last time she drank.
Lucy, on the other hand, was very into the idea of sororities and seemed to think college was one big booze-fest full of partying!
Of course, we also know Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is exhibiting some strange behavior due to the new meds she’s on.
Even if Sharon’s doctor switches her back to her old meds now that she’s complained, that could bring yet another adjustment period and a chance for Sharon to truly go off the rails.
Whatever the case, Sharon has been fixated on Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) old car accident lately.
Cassie was inexperienced behind the wheel and crashed while trying to drive a drunk Daniel home, which ultimately led to her demise.
It feels like the show’s giving fans some puzzle pieces that’ll ultimately click into place somehow.
It’s possible that Claire will get accused of causing a drunk-driving crash in the near future.
There could indeed be enough alcohol in Claire’s system to warrant suspicion if she starts drinking now that Kyle’s sort of “corrupted” her!
Then again, maybe Claire will keep avoiding alcohol after all.
That could bring a situation where Kyle rushes to Claire’s defense and it’s ultimately proven that Claire’s sober once she’s tested.
Could underage Lucy get drunk and actually be responsible for an upcoming collision instead?
Could it be Sharon who causes the accident due to her meds being all out of whack?
Regardless, it seems like Claire, Lucy, Faith and Sharon might all be part of a story curveball that’s coming up – potentially one that sends one or more of them to the hospital following a crash.
