The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will decide he’s tired of waiting for Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) to leave the nanny job on her own. Victor feels like Claire would be more suited to a position within the Newman empire, so he’ll try to nudge things along during the week of August 26-30.
Since Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is basically Victor’s lackey now, he’ll face some pressure from “The Moustache.” Victor has a habit of framing things as a suggestion when he’s really giving an order!
Y&R spoilers say Victor will talk about Claire’s future and hint that it’s time for a change.
When Victor urges Kyle to start looking for a replacement nanny, Kyle will question if Victor’s asking him to fire Claire.
Victor surely won’t want Kyle to hurt Claire’s feelings, so he might contend that Kyle can find a tactful way to handle it.
Although Victor may not call it a firing exactly, he’ll definitely want Claire off babysitting duty and back in the Newman family business.
Since Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will finally be ready for a new joint custody agreement in the August 26 episode, Kyle may use that to his advantage here.
Perhaps Kyle will suggest he’s trying not to make unilateral decisions anymore and that he’s rectifying the one he made when he hired Claire.
Maybe Kyle will even imply that the nanny change is one of the agreement’s stipulations.
Kyle could at least point out that the nanny gig has caused tension with Summer and contend that he doesn’t want that to stand in the way of the cousins bonding.
Whatever the case, Claire may feel blindsided if Kyle admits he’s looking at other nanny candidates for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).
The news should leave Claire thinking Summer is to blame, so she’ll corner her for some answers later.
Naturally, Summer probably won’t know what the heck Claire is talking about!
This could lead to Summer getting ticked off at Kyle for leaving her out of the loop, especially on something as important as childcare.
The truce between Kyle and Summer will be fragile, so there’s the potential for more custody drama here.
That’s especially true if Summer begins to suspect there’s more to Victor’s influence over Kyle than meets the eye.
