It’s easy to imagine Diane leaving a goodbye note and pulling off a vanishing act.
Diane might pen a heartfelt farewell to Kyle and Jack before bolting without them knowing about it.
Although it would be a tough blow for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) to lose his “DiDi,” Diane might insist he’ll be better off without her around in the end.
Likewise, Diane might envision a world where Kyle and Jack can fix their relationship if she’s long gone.
Diane might apologize for the additional heartbreak she’s caused and perhaps leave her wedding ring behind.
Jack would be an emotional wreck if he thought Diane had disappeared like this.
Even Kyle could get choked up and worry that he drove Diane away.
Part of Kyle might be mad about Diane abandoning him again, but another part of him could feel responsible for making Diane think true forgiveness wasn’t possible.
A situation like this might be the perfect opportunity for Jack and Kyle to put their differences aside.
Kyle and Jack could team up on a frantic search for Diane as they work to stop her from vanishing for good.
Then again, Y&R could swing the story in another direction if Diane simply goes missing without a trace.
There might be suspicions about Diane leaving by choice, but maybe it could be a situation where another shady character from her past catches up with her.
Whatever the case, Kyle is making Diane feel like the scum of the earth, so he needs a wake-up call.
There might be a twist where Kyle fears Diane could be gone forever if he doesn’t join forces with Jack and find her before it’s too late.
