The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers note that Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) seems so different from what fans remembered of him. Viewers are picking up on just how shady Cole has been acting, and while he’s been “nice” on the surface, it does seem like he’s up to something sketchy.
Is Cole Howard the “real” Cole Howard?
First off, why did he feel the need to head to the lake house after everything went down to grab Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) DNA sample?
Fans have questioned this move as it seems he purposely used a hairbrush that likely had Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) hair on it.
Cole’s also been somewhat reserved and doesn’t say too much. If Cole was an imposter, he’d want to say as little as possible to not alert suspicion.
In some ways, he seems a little too “good” to be true. He recently had a meeting with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) at the Ranch, and the Moustache has his eyes on Cole.
Fans get the feeling that Victor doesn’t like having Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) ex around, and he doesn’t trust him for one reason or another.
More interesting than that is that Cole relayed a different version of his meeting with Victor to Victoria, later on in the day, over a coffee.
Is it that he doesn’t want to ruffle any feathers, or he’s up to no good?
Rewinding to the lake house nightmare, fans saw Cole enter the home, and then an episode later or so, they saw him being dragged out by Claire and Jordan to join Victor, Victoria, and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) into the living room.
Cole appeared to be drugged and looked rough, but who’s to say that Jordan didn’t switch the real Cole with an imposter?
Claire is not in the loop, but Jordan may have anticipated that they’d get caught.
She probably gave Cole imposter the poison like the others, knowing that she’d give him the antidote if she successfully axed the other.
The Cole imposter might be planted as a backup plan in this entire scheme.
Then again, considering how his mom and aunt’s mental health histories are continually brought up, it’s also not far-fetched to see that Cole may have inherited the same issues.
He’s been away from Genoa City for a hot minute, and who’s to say he hasn’t had an infatuation with Vicky this entire time?
Cole notes he’s on sabbatical from Oxford to write a book, but how do fans know that’s the truth? He may have been fired for doing something over-the-top, due to a mental health condition.
Young and the Restless spoilers hint that there’s far more to Cole than meets the eye, so fans need to watch this storyline closely to see what happens next.
