The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has genuinely been trying to look beyond Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) past mistakes and view her as family. It’s been a long road to get here, but Summer is warming up to Claire and appreciates the way she cares for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).
However, drama is about to erupt all over again as Claire and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) get closer.
Claire and Kyle are going to be spending more time together as a romance develops, so Summer isn’t going to handle that very well.
Based on the events of Y&R’s September 5 episode, Kyle and Claire are already planning to enjoy more dinners and see movies together.
Claire and Kyle will essentially be going on “dates” without even being a couple yet – at least that’s what it’s going to look like to Summer!
It’s easy to imagine Summer and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) crossing paths with Kyle and Claire on a mutual night out.
That could lead to the four of them all sitting down for a double date disaster.
Between the awkwardness and the grilling session Summer might launch, this evening could take a terrible turn.
Summer’s jealous behavior could leave Chance suspicious about her lingering feelings for Kyle, which wouldn’t be good news for her current romance.
Once Kyle and Claire surrender to their spark, they’ll go on some real dates as well and test the waters of what an actual relationship could look like.
Summer might try to pretend she’s over Kyle and unbothered, but it’ll become increasingly clear that’s not true.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will indeed find herself jealous and wondering if she’s truly put Kyle in the rearview mirror.
