The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, July 19 Recap: Sharon Loses It Over Faith, Claire’s Never Had a Romance

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, July 19, reveals that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will want to get to the bottom of why Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) is nervous about accepting Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) Paris trip offer.

Victoria will eventually wonder if this is about Claire’s feelings for Kyle, but Claire will claim they’re just friends and that Kyle has been totally professional.

However, Claire will admit she doesn’t have experience deciphering her own feelings since she’s never had a romantic relationship before.

Once Claire describes feeling safe around Kyle and talks about looking into his eyes, Victoria will think it sounds like she feels more than friendly toward him.

Claire won’t think it matters since Kyle is her boss – and that’s a line she won’t be willing to cross, especially since she won’t want to do anything to affect her relationship with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).

Victoria will understand that and suggest there’s no reason why Claire shouldn’t go to Paris then – though the choice has to be Claire’s alone.

Once Victoria leaves, Claire will call Kyle to confirm she’s accepting his offer to take care of Harrison in Paris.

At the GCAC on Friday’s Y&R episode, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will be distracted by her phone as Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) talks about all the demerger drama.

Chance will eventually take Summer out for some sunshine in the park, so she’ll thank him for the support.

Summer will finally get the message she was waiting on when her lawyer gets back to her.

Once Summer realizes she can’t stop Kyle from leaving the country with Harrison, she’ll express frustration over her lack of rights.

Over with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), she’ll decide she can’t take the guilt any longer.

Chelsea will feel like she should come clean to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about what happened with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and hope he can forgive her once he learns the circumstances.

When Billy catches up with Chelsea in the park, she’ll turn into an emotional mess over her mistakes and how weak she is.

Chelsea will nearly confess, but she’ll ultimately just suggest she needs to count her blessings since Billy is her rock and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is doing better.

After Chelsea claims she has a Marchetti meeting that she forgot about, she’ll take Billy’s hand and let him lead her back to the office.

At Society, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) won’t seem pleased to find Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at the same table.

After Sharon steps over to the bar to wait for her takeout, Phyllis will talk about some strange interactions she’s had with her lately.

Nick will admit Sharon is struggling with some medication adjustments, so Phyllis will hope Sharon can get back to normal once that’s sorted out.

In the meantime, Phyllis will warn Nick that Sharon is a warrior after everything she’s been through, so she doesn’t need him to rescue her.

Even so, Nick will want to invite Sharon to join them while she waits for her food. That way, Nick will be able to gauge how Sharon’s doing.

Once Nick extends the invitation, Sharon will sit down and immediately grill them about all the time they’re spending together.

Nick will assure Sharon that it’s not romantic before Phyllis brings up her encounter with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) earlier.

Sharon will get agitated and quiz Phyllis about what was said. As Phyllis tries to explain, Sharon will snap about her having no right to do that.

Phyllis will apologize since she meant no harm – and Nick will back her up about having no bad intent.

Sharon will warn that moving forward, Phyllis shouldn’t give Faith any romantic advice or talk about their history.

Phyllis will insist she hears Sharon loud and clear, so Sharon will settle down and tell them to have a lovely rest of the day as she leaves with her takeout.

Once Sharon exits, she’ll look unsettled outside the restaurant.

As for Phyllis, she’ll express concern to Nick about Sharon going from calm to rage in a nanosecond.

Phyllis will seem worried that it’s about more than just being a protective mom or some medication adjustments.
