The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) may have some other victims in mind once he’s done targeting Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and her family.
Could Ian go after revenge on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), too?
There are certainly some old grudges that could drive Ian to plot payback on Victor and Adam.
Since Jordan (Colleen Zenk) hates the Newmans, she’d get some satisfaction out of a scheme like this as well.
Back in 2015, Y&R fans may recall that Ian teamed up with Adam on the Paragon Project, which was a computer virus designed to destroy Newman Enterprises.
Perhaps Ian could decide to move forward with Paragon 2.0 and frame Adam for it this time around.
Now that Adam is on good terms with Victor, Ian might want to ruin their relationship and mess with them both.
If Ian plays this just right, he could convince Victor that Adam is a traitor. There’s nothing Victor hates more than family disloyalty, so this could unleash his fury in a big way.
Of course, Adam would deny any type of betrayal, but the evidence might be awfully compelling.
Ian might plant the right seeds and make it look like Adam has been plotting this from the moment he got his foot back in the door at Newman.
However, Adam might work to prove he’s not responsible and convince Victor that someone’s out to get them.
Victor might suspect Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) at first, but Adam would hopefully know that Jack would never target him like that.
Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) might fall under suspicion, but maybe Victor and Adam could eventually settle on a far worse enemy as the culprit.
The news that Ian is a free man again could become a huge hint for Adam and Victor down the road.
Whatever the case, both Victor and Adam played roles in Ian’s imprisonment, so it makes sense that he’d want to target them.
Ian might launch some mind games and frame Adam for a betrayal he didn’t commit, but Victor and Adam could figure out the truth in the end.
