The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) have definitely been growing closer lately. It’s only a matter of time until Kyle and Claire hit the sheets, so that could open the door to a classic soap dilemma.
Is Claire’s pregnancy story brewing? Could Claire wind up with a bun in the oven after heading to bed with Kyle?
Y&R could certainly milk a lot of drama out of a surprise Newman and Abbott baby, especially considering the feud that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is reigniting with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Victor would be furious over Kyle getting Claire pregnant and might plot to keep the Abbotts away once the little one arrives.
It’s easy to imagine Claire’s potential baby fueling the flames of the Abbott-Newman conflict.
Just when things get out of hand between the feuding families, perhaps Claire and Kyle could help force a truce.
This baby would be both Jack and Victor’s grandchild, so they might find some common ground eventually.
Of course, we also have to consider the drama that could result from Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) reaction to Claire’s potential pregnancy news.
If Summer is this unsettled over Claire being Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) nanny, she may panic at the thought of Claire giving him a sibling and tying herself to the Abbott clan permanently.
Summer will feel like even more of an outsider if she’s forced to watch Claire bring Kyle’s child into this world.
It could stir up jealousy and add to the insecurities Summer’s already dealing with.
Once Claire and Kyle inevitably let passion erupt, it’ll create the perfect opportunity to launch some baby-related chaos.
It’ll be interesting to see if Y&R takes advantage of that opportunity when the time is right.
Bottom line, the show could work plenty of new angles if they ultimately give Claire a pregnancy story, so stick with us for predictions on whether one might happen down the road.
