“You know, in some way, maybe it’s a good thing that you lost touch with your mom and dad from such a young age,” Billy said. “Because at a certain point, your parents…they let you down.”
What if Billy said that because the show’s about to dive deeper into Sally’s history?
This might be a good opportunity to offer a big twist that even Sally herself doesn’t see coming.
Based on what we know so far, Sally’s grandmother raised her as well as her younger sister after their carnival worker parents landed on the wrong side of the law.
However, Sally’s mother could’ve easily gotten pregnant by someone else and buried the paternity secret.
There’s no guarantee that Sally and Coco Spectra (Courtney Grosbeck) shared the same biological father.
What if Ian Ward is Sally’s bio dad instead? Sally’s mother might’ve gotten pregnant by Ian once upon a time and tried to cover it up.
Of course, Ian may have found out the truth somehow anyway. Perhaps Ian could blow up Sally’s life like never before by wanting to form a father-daughter bond.
It’s even possible that Jordan could be Sally’s mother if Y&R wants to take the rewrite to the next level, but a simple paternity cover-up would be a lot easier to explain and roll with.
