The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Is There Too Much Tucker on Y&R – Airtime Hog Has Taken Over Genoa City?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) has plotted his fair share of company takeovers, but many fans feel like he’s taking over the entire show instead!

On social media, plenty of viewers have been complaining about Tucker being an airtime hog. Is there too much Tucker on Y&R?

It’s certainly an argument worth considering since Tucker is connected to so many storylines.

When Tucker isn’t clashing with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and others around town, he’s trying to sell his love for Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). When Tucker isn’t dealing with a past PR crisis, he’s trying to make plans for Glissade’s future.

Fans also have to hear Ashley constantly dwell on the Paris blowup – not to mention the Abbotts are worried about the toll everything is taking on Ashley along with Tucker’s lingering threat to Jabot.

Plus, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) are keeping their guard up at Chancellor-Winters since they fear Tucker could make more trouble.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) remains concerned about Audra getting tangled up in Tucker’s web – and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) has been pulled into multiple Tucker situations as well.

There’s no denying that there’s an awful lot of Tucker – whether he’s actually on-screen or other characters are just talking about him incessantly.

Of course, the real problem is that Tucker never does anything of any consequence. It might be different if Tucker was some amazing supervillain that actually pulled off twisted schemes.

Instead, most of Tucker’s plots are total flops or at least don’t make much of a difference in the end. Why is everyone so wary of Tucker when he constantly fails to pull off his goals?

Y&R likes to play up Tucker’s manipulative side like he’s the big bad wolf, but they won’t let him actually do anything too horrible.

Assuming the mounting evidence is correct regarding what happened at the Paris bistro, the writers wouldn’t even let Tucker actually throw a glass or sling a chair.

It was apparently all in Ashley’s head, so Tucker is once again a bland version of a baddie.

We get that some characters are gray, but Tucker still feels too wishy-washy. Maybe the show needs to pick a lane when it comes to who they want Tucker to be or dial down his airtime entirely.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’s much more Tucker ahead in the meantime, so stick with us for updates on his next chapter and any big news that might be looming.
