The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that some new love stories will take center stage in the coming months. We’re already seeing the first signs of one between Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) since they recently hit the sheets for the first time.
Billy and Sally didn’t want to rush into that step out of pure revenge, so they waited until they had a deeper connection.
Now Sally and Billy are interested in seeing where this romance leads, but trouble is already on the horizon!
In a new interview with SOD, Y&R Head Writer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith confirmed that a Sally, Billy and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) love triangle is brewing.
Griffith made a prediction about the audience being “intrigued” by it, but he didn’t offer up the details just yet.
However, Phyllis and Billy were obviously reconnecting a bit before he gave her the boot from Abbott-Chancellor.
Billy felt obligated to meet Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) demands, but it was all for nothing since she sold the company to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) anyway.
Although Phyllis wasn’t pleased over Billy’s treatment of her, she may not hold it against him in the end.
That’s especially true since Billy couldn’t hold onto the Abbott-Chancellor throne like he so desperately wanted.
Billy and Phyllis may get their friendship back on track, but Sally could eventually worry that these exes could veer back into romantic territory.
That’s never completely off the table when it comes to Phyllis and Billy, so will Sally show signs of jealousy and insecurity?
At the very least, Sally may worry she’s going to get her heart broken – just like when she was involved with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Sally may have to decide whether she’ll fight to push Phyllis out of the picture or bow out to avoid more devastation.
Regardless, Sally and Phyllis’ rivalry seems poised to reignite, so stick with us for updates on any other love triangle news to come.
