The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) could make a bold move for the sake of saving Abbott-Chancellor. Since Lily has poured so much time and energy into the company, she’s naturally become quite protective of it.
That’s why Lily is still playing Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and trying to manipulate him enough to prevent Abbott-Chancellor’s destruction.
Lily agreed to this partnership to protect the business she’d worked so hard to build up.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) told Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) about his plan to go after Abbott-Chancellor since he knew Devon would tell Lily, who would then tell Billy.
The goal is to make Billy spin out and do something impulsive that could perhaps leave Abbott-Chancellor vulnerable.
Victor needs Billy to blow things up so that he can swoop in and pick up the pieces!
Since Victor’s plan hinges on “Billy Boy” making bad decisions, he could have a problem if Lily removes Billy from the equation.
If Lily sees that Billy is genuinely putting the company at risk, she might try to get Billy fired or at least demoted.
What if Lily makes a pitch to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) about replacing Billy with someone calmer and more rational?
There’s someone else at Abbott-Chancellor who’s been proving himself and seems poised to rise in the ranks.
Of course, we’re talking about Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), who has already been praising Lily’s commitment to the company and has been insisting he wants to be a bigger part of the solution.
In the August 1 episode, Chance made his stance crystal clear to Billy, who suspected Chance was looking for an exit sign.
Chance argued that he should be relied on more instead and flat-out said he wasn’t going anywhere.
Y&R may be laying the groundwork for Chance to steal Billy’s job and cause some escalating conflict.
Will Jill pit her grandson against her son by making Chance partners with Lily instead of Billy?
Jill and Lily might offer Billy some less significant pity position instead, but he might basically consider this a firing and walk!
