The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) recently had a little chat with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about his personal life. Nick has proven to be a good father and employee, but Victor seems concerned about him missing out on true love.
Things didn’t work out between Nick and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but Victor stressed the importance of having someone to lean on.
Nick suggested that not everyone could be as lucky as Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), but he assured his dad that he was fine.
Of course, Nick has proven he doesn’t like to be alone. How long will it be until lonely Nick starts looking for someone to fill the void Sally left behind?
It’s easy to imagine Nick getting on a dating app eventually, so maybe his attempt to find a new woman will be a total flop.
Nick might have some awkward dates and hookups, but he could quickly realize this isn’t the way to meet the woman of his dreams.
Perhaps the woman Nick’s meant to be with has been right under his nose all along.
A dating app disaster would be an excellent way to show Nick what else is out there and make him see that his connection with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) can’t be beat.
Y&R fans know Sharon and Nick have a powerful romantic history – one that could bring them back together for a new beginning sooner rather than later.
Sharon might even have a disastrous dating app experience of her own that pushes her back in Nick’s romantic direction.
Nick and Sharon are still close friends at this point, but they could be so much more if they could just get on the same page about giving their relationship one more chance.
It may take some time and effort to get there, but Y&R writers have seemingly been planting the seeds of a Sharon and Nick reunion.
Let’s hope that pans out and leads to “Shick” getting a happy ending down the road.
