The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is a man on a mission.
While Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) spilled the beans behind her role in Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) demise (as her guilt couldn’t handle it), Nick sees some holes in her story and is spearheading an investigation of his own to clear her name.
Things just seem too suspicious for Nick.
This heightened his spidey-senses when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) revealed the spam texts she received the night of her car crash from Sharon, and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) was quick to point out Sharon was missing her phone and at Crimson during the time of Phyllis’ collision.
Nick is set to reach out to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) the week of December 2-6 in hopes he can help exonerate Sharon, although it’s hard to say if the cop will get involved.
Regardless, even if Chance doesn’t lend a hand, Nick will get to the bottom of things by doing a little digging himself.
This is the land of soaps where even a cute and charming business executive who grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth has enough street smarts to solve mysteries, right?
In all reality, Nick has the money and resources at his fingertips to help with this sleuthing job and could figure out the truth.
The only problem with this is, as Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Ian Ward (Ray Wise) are behind all the Heather and Phyllis chaos, and Jordan loves her disguises, could she catch wind to what Nick is up to and try to stop him in his tracks?
Half of the reason Ian and Jordan have gotten away with everything they’ve gotten away with is due to Jordan’s tickle trunk of costumes, which allows her to linger in the shadows undetected.
She may overhear Nick talking to someone about evidence he finds, and this could cause both her and Ian to lure Nick in a trap to kidnap him.
Fans are on the cusp of the holiday season, so there’s a good chance that Ian and Jordan kidnap and hold Nick hostage over Christmas, maybe until well past New Year’s!
After all, last year, Jordan ruined the Newmans’ Thanksgiving … maybe this year she’ll ruin the entire holiday season for the family!
Plus, torturing Nick would kill two birds with one stone for both Jordan and Ian, as he’s so close to Sharon and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) son.
The Young and the Restless spoilers remind fans that Executive Producer of the show, Josh Griffith, recently stated the soap would end 2024 with a bang, and kidnapping everyone’s favorite ex, son, brother, friend, and dad would do the trick!
