Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) knows Heather wouldn’t just abandon her family without warning.
It’s true that Heather wanted to leave town, but she ultimately relented on Daniel’s decision to stay in Genoa City.
Heather wouldn’t bail on Daniel and especially Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), so there’s no way they’ll believe she left willingly.
The cops should investigate Heather’s disappearance, but that may not be good enough for Daniel.

In fact, this seems like a good opportunity for Phyllis and Daniel to play detective together.
Perhaps Daniel and Phyllis will team up to find missing Heather themselves, but the results of their investigative efforts could obviously be quite tragic!

After all, Daniel and Phyllis are sure to find it unsettling that Sharon vanished right before Heather did.
Once Sharon resurfaces and Heather remains MIA, Phyllis and Daniel may fear Sharon is the reason why.
The truth about Heather’s fatal outcome is sure to hit Daniel hard down the road.
Daniel may feel responsible for not keeping Heather safe, especially since Sharon’s beef was really with him anyway.
